The bottom line is that in the open, the camera vibrates from the wind. This is a matter of the increased surface area of the cabinet, extended out on an arm to which it is attached at one point. Also, the plastic is yellowed, which makes me think that it might be old stock. I have Lorex POE cameras and lost one. It was very exposed to the weather. I did have to open-up a hole in the bottom to insert the cable plug housing. I used foam blocks that a camera was packed in along with Monkey tape to position and fix the camera in the cabinet.UP-DATE: Two weeks after installation, I have a smear down the right side of my image. I checked the housing out and there is nothing on the outside of the window (Originally thought it was bird poop) there has been water blown in under the cowling/hood that has then run down the inside of the window. I will need to take it down and calk all the seams with silicone. There is a crack above the window. ... show more

Good case. Plenty large enoough for a Raspberry Pi 5 with POE and M2 NVME, a nice lens, and more. I 3d printed my own gland nuts to accomodate pre-fabbed eithernet cable and external connectors for accessories. Very nice. It is mostly aluminum, so it is light and strong. You'll have to make your own lens mask for the area around the glass in front so that you don't have internal reflection issues, but again, good 'ol 3d printer comes to good use there too. I have a wonderful ultra resolution timelapse camera with this rig. Others have been critical of the mount, and I agree. The mounting arm looks like metal, but it is plastic. The long part of the mounting arm is plastic, and it flexes a lot. The box is good - be prepared to get your own mounting arm. ... show more

Works like its supposed too for the most part. Good material. Only problem is if your camera has night vision the red lights reflect on the glass and block out any picture. I just took off the glass and it worked perfect
