This collar/remote work great. The range is excellent, the controls are mostly good (though you do have to read the manual since the mode icons are unclear), and my dog absolutely responds to it. The good: -Remote range is excellent -Battery life is great; I havent charged it in several days (though my dog doesnt need to wear it all the time) -Beep mode is LOUD and immediately stops the barking -Vibration is strong -Comes with a neon lamp to test the shock function -3 modes of operation: bark control only, remote control only, or both -Bark control mode has 2 modes: beep + vibrate (beeps at first, then vibrates, then cycles back and forth while increasing intensity) and shock (also cycles through beep/vibrate first) -Adjustable sensitivity levels -Remote has a lock switch to prevent accidental button presses The bad: -The shock is insanely strong. I won't put this on my dog without testing it on myself, and above level 1 it's pretty unpleasant...and it goes to 99! On level 99 it fully illuminates the neon tester for a full second. No way am I risking my 30lb dog with that, but more on that later. -When changing modes via remote it will beep/vibrate/shock the dog right away. You can't switch modes with the remote without it disciplining the dog. -Some reviews have reported they've forgotten the lock switch and the remote continuously triggered the collar. Hopefully it was not on shock mode at the time... The modifications: The shock is really strong and had me considering returning the collar. But since it worked so well otherwise I decided to open it up and see if I could permanently disable the shock function. The collar is very easy to open with 4 phillips screws and no clips. Once the case was open, the screen and battery unplug and lift right out. 3 more screws hold the board into the housing. Once the board is removed, there is a thin black wire going to one of the shock probes. This can be unscrewed on one side and cut on the other. This will permanently disable its ability to shock. I reassembled the collar and ground down the shock probes so that my dog would no longer have them poking him in the neck. I would give this 5 stars if there was a version without the shock, but the super easy modification makes it a solid 4.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I bought this 2-in-1 dog shock and bark collar to help with excessive barking and basic training, and honestly I’m impressed with how well it works. The remote is easy to use and the collar feels lightweight but durable. I like that it has different training modes and adjustable levels, so you can find what works best without being too harsh. The battery life has also been really good, and pairing the remote with the collar was quick and simple. After just a few days, I noticed a big improvement in my dog’s barking and overall responsiveness. The screen is clear and easy to read, even outside. We recently moved to a new place and every one (5 different neighbors!) ALL have doggos! What a dog neighborhood we live in! Since moving here, my pup is on high alert CONSTANTLY staring outside and looking over his kingdom. This never happened in our old house. His barking had gotten out of control which is so atypical for him. I needed something to help this so I decided to finally invest in a bark collar. As looking, I started thinking I can't add yet another collar around his neck (as we do use an e-collar, never make it past the sound though as my dog is well-trained with just the sound. Then I stumbled on this product and this has been ideal! The color is gorgeous! I got the orange as I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome & Ovarian cancer and orange is the color for CRPS. It is such a a rare neurological syndrome it is hard to come across cute quality orange items which is the color of the ribbon for CRPS. The comfort of the remote in my hand is great! Very ergomical for my small hands even! The functionality and buttons all make sense for their locations and I can tell it has actually been thought out (many other e-collars we have had have NOT been this case! The shock level goes up high, but it is so easy to control and not actually shock as there is a button on the collar as well that needs to be pressed to go from one mode -only sound- to the other modes, sound plus vibrate, sound plus vibrate plus shock. This is a really great feature given I have littles and try as might to keep it up higher than they can reach, occasionally they still get their little grubby hands on it and now my pup doesn't get accidentally shocked! All e-collars should take note of this and go to this idea. Another time, my older son had the remote in his hand as he was helping Dad outside move some things around. Ad I sat inside my bernadoodle start yipping and jumping around and we couldn't figure out why. It turns out that he had accidentally turned the lock off in his pocket and the furniture he was helping move was pressing into the buttons shocking him constantly!! Poor guy!! I'm grateful this setup can completely avoid that from happening-msybe not the sound as that's the mode we keep it on, but I find that the click mover to go from locked to unlocked provides a bit more safety by being a bit tougher of a switch than others while not being too hard to switch on and off. So far so good for being waterproof, but I cannot really speak on it too much as my big guy aka a mountain dog 75% Bernese, despised water with every strand of fur on his oversized being! Speaking of oversized, my guy has a big neck so I can guarantee you that it will be good for your big dog as the collar they give you is so long. The you can just trim it up to the size that you want for your pup. Lastly, is the comfort on the dog which I do not think enough people credit as important- not intentionally, just don't really think about it when shopping for one on the market (I know I didn't). This collar has the rubber nubs to put on the end of the prongs to add for comfort and once again safety to lessen the chances of shocking pain for my good, but occasionally loud and rambunctious guy. This collar is comfortable for him and super easy to click to get on and off, but he absolutely has not minded it at all as you can tell by his Sunday morning resting and reposing he enjoys on my bed 💖. I absolutely would but this again for the quality and functionality they've made it with. So do your doggie a favor and get this one and don't worry about having to add an e-collar AND a bark collar. 🐕🦺🦴🐕🐩🐶🐾
