Followed the clear set-up instructions and remote works. Note I have the Craftsman Security+ universal remote control conversion kit (139.53751) on my garage door opener which isn't on the list. The receiver does not have a colored learn button, but it has 315 on the casing and an attached purple wire which points to it being same as a purple button. I used the purple button instructions and remote works.

I replaced my old craftsman door opener with a new myQ craftsman. The unit came with 2 remotes. One of the remotes was killing the battery in 3-4 weeks while the other one is still on the same original battery. I thought it was because I have one in the car and the cold was draining the battery. This wasn't the case. I switched remotes with one in the house and it still drained. I was going to replace it with the original craftsman remote but they want 35$ for one. I took a chance and purchased this remote. It took 3 seconds to program the remote and it works perfectly. I keep this one in the house and the original in my truck. It does seem to have good range. It is located around 80' away from the door opener and works every time with one push of the button. Also this remote gives you a red light when pushed so you know you engage it while the original does not. 2 remotes for this money, it's a no brainer. Make sure your learning button on your garage door opener matches the same color as the remote you purchase. Time will tell on how long the battery will last. As of now it is working as should.
