I got this Avisontek 2 for 953EV/EVC 953ESTD Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Remote to replace my remotes that malfunctioned after buying it just 2 weeks ago. A couple of days ago, my garage door just started opening and closing by itself. I told my wife to grab the truck keys to see if it's the attached remote that was causing it. Sure enough, when she pressed the button on piece of crap remote, the garage door stayed close. I'm not sure what caused that problem because it was just sitting on the counter for over an hour when this happened. Pretty upset about that, I quickly ordered these Avisontek remotes and got rid of the first set. Today, I got this pair and a few things of note that impressed me: - I didn't realize that has it has a slide-up cover over the buttons. That's an excellent idea to prevent any accidental pressing of the buttons when in the pants pockets. Smart idea and implementation plus provides protection to the buttons. - Since I wasn't sure about the quality or how old the batteries are that came with it, I replaced both batteries with brand name ones. There are 4 parts that will come apart when I opened the case: there's the top/bottom shell, the circuit board has to come out to replace the battery, and the side chrome piece. Just take note of orientation when reassembling. - Read the instruction manual and follow it closely. I tried just programming it the way I did like the crappy ones I was replacing and those old steps didn't work on our Chamberlain Whisper Quiet 3/4HP garage opener with purple button. This has very specific steps to get it programmed--a bit more involved but it gives me confidence about the product's quality. - After a few minutes of closely following the step-by-step instructions, I got the both A & B buttons programmed for our single garage door--just for backup. Tested it quite a few times then went out and came back home with zero issues. At $11.75 when I ordered it, provides excellent value for the money and great functionality. This is cheaper than my previous crappy ones and I would definitely recommend this pair.

These garage door remotes are really convenient. The remotes are slim and compact, and they have a sliding cover that helps protect from inadvertent button presses. The buttons are easy to program and are very responsive when pressed.

These garage door openers are awesome! I like them best for the compact size. They look identical to the stock picture. They go right on a keyring and are smaller than your average car fob. This remote can be programmed to work with up to 4 separate openers, A, B, C, & D. The range is good and I effectively use them about 100 ft away in the open. About 75 feet through the car and about 50 ft through two walls. This is about the same range as the oem handheld one that came with my opener. The remote design us the same as other remotes I've seen, just with different buttons. It has a little cover to slide over the buttons to avoid accidental openings and running down the battery, which is easily replaceable with a small Phillips screwdriver. Awesome universal openers. Get you one!

These garage door key fobs were so very easy to program. An excellent feature is that I can program two different garage doors with them, which makes it perfect to include not just my garage door, but my parents' as well. These aren't real bulky and fit nicely on my keychain. I am able to hit the button for the door to open from the entrance of our long driveway, and it works. The price can't be beat! Excellent quality and value!

I love these, they are simple for the garage door opener to learn, 1 key press on each and it's done! My son has had one that looks like this for a while, and if he looks at something it self destructs, and the one like this is still going. now I have one for my daughter and one for the keyfob.

Great compact size for keeping on my keychain when I'm going out on bike. My 'orange' learn button actually ended up requiring the button presses for what instructions said was 'purple' switch, so if it's not working just keep trying the different sequences on instructions. No issue with range so far.

It was really easy to program this opener! I have a purple learn button. Theoretically, you can program all 4 buttons. A bit overkill for my purposes, but it's nice to have one remote for everything. This came with two openers, which is handy if you need to give someone else an opener, or if you tend to lose things like this.
