I bought the Pinkway 20" chainsaw more as a "back-up to the Stihl" than just wanting to see how it works- especially as I needed to some work on the Stihl. Anyway... I own 15 acres of wooded property in central VA. Trees include Tulip Poplar, Paw-Paw, Sumac, Black Walnut, Beech. Red Cedar, and finally Osage, and Honey Locust. Those last 2 trees are pretty brutal on chainsaws, though cedar heartwood, the walnut, and beech are tough stuff too. Still nothing in my region defies a chainsaw like Osage or Honey Locust. Both have fibrous twisted grain and require power, torque, and cutting speed to effectively cut. Anyway, my comparison chainsaws are an Ego 18" battery powered unit and a Stihl FarmBoss MS290. I just put a new carb on the Stihl and it was my go-to for felling and bucking the larger trees. Since purchasing the Pinkway, I've only put about 30 minutes on the Stihl, and about 6 hours on the Pinkway. I'm talking continuous use with a lot of start/stop cycles. It starts fast, EVERY time. The Pinkway runs great; I approximated a 25:1 mix made by adding some oil to the 50:1 I run in my Stihl for the first tank of gas. This chainsaw a really nice anti-vibration grip on the hoop. Don't get me wrong- my Ego 18" saw is a champ (my wife prefers using it over the Stihl) and my MS290... well, it's an old Stihl and beats the snot out of battery power. However, the Pinkway is now my preferred saw. I do only have about 6 hours of run-time, so I consider it barely used, but it has been flawless since purchase. The 20" chain is adequate. No idea what type of profile teeth and don't care- they're expendable and require frequent sharpening considering how much Osage and Locust I have to cut, but adequate for the "factory" chain. I'll be getting some square/chisel chains and may even opt for a 24" bar down the road. The Pinkway also came with a useful chainsaw sparkplug/chain tool, tune-up screwdriver, and it is really easy to clean the air filter (which surprisingly seals well- but still warrants a paper pre-filter). Chain tension is easy to adjust. The auto-oiler works fine, and I've had no issues with throwing chains- which is surprising given how much of a royal headache bucking/cutting Osage and Locust is. I don't even both using the Ego on those trees anymore... and my Stihl is mostly just hanging out as a spare while "The Pink" is getting all the action. Time will tell if the Pinkway will be as reliable as my Stihl but at this, I can solidly claim the Pinkway offers a huge bang for the buck. It is successfully hanging with my MS290 and I'm reaching for it more often than my Stihl. Side note; the Pinkway weighs about the same as my Stihl, despite a 2" longer bar/chain. You know when you're carrying it, but once you get some bite, it purrs through the chips. I can see myself getting a 180" hoop handle and maybe even some better bucking spikes. The Pinkway is worth the investment.

All I can say is that I’m speechless. I’ve used Sthil , Husqvarna, echo. Each one of those brands at a 20” bar will set you back $300-$500+ not to mention only the sthil is 62cc like this one. It says to run a specific mix but I never do that. I always go to Home Depot and buy that 50:1 or whatever it is. It’s already premixed gas that burns 10x cleaner and just better for 2 stroke motors. I haven’t had to adjust the carb but if you have to you can access it from the side when you remove the air filter. I would say the only downside to this might be the plastic material used. But only time will tell. It started up on the 2nd or 3 rd pull and ran like a champ ever since. I was def skeptical but the way I seen it was even if it made it throw just one job and ended up breaking down then it was worth it and paid for itself. But I see this thing going awhile. It cuts great, size and weight are perfect. And it comes with everything you need. Update: I wanted to add pics of the saw for other potential buyers. Also to add that I’m still at a loss for words. This chainsaw is great. If you guys are on the fence wondering if you should take a chance on it, take my word and do it. If you don’t like it then blame me but I guarantee you will.

I'm going to add to this review as we go, so if you don't hear otherwise, assume it's still running! I'm a pretty "seasoned" wood cutter, I own four Husqy 455 Ranchers and three log splitters, so I know my way around a saw okay. I ordered this thing based solely on YouTube videos that were raving about the 60cc, 20in, $130 Pinkway chainsaw. I couldn't stop myself from pulling the trigger. So it showed up packaged really nicely in a box, came with a chain, a bar, a scrench, it assembled very easily; very standard for a chainsaw. It is an attractive saw, I really dig the purple/silver color scheme. It is light. Feels pretty durable, but I don't plan to throw it around much. It will take some rides in the back of my side-by-side, but I'm pretty gentle on equipment otherwise. Okay, so right off the bat, the owners manual says 25:1 oil mix but the saw has a decal on it that says 50:1. I've seen videos and forum posts where people have used either, so I'm gonna rock the 25:1 for awhile....I guess better lubrication can't hurt, at least while breaking it in. There is no primer, that's really weird. The choke is a pull handle that feels super cheap and the on-off switch is this little toggle button that looks like it belongs on the back of a computer power supply, so that's hilarious. To my amazement, I pulled three times, got a sputter, turned the choke off, pulled once more and she was off and running. I gave it a minute to idle and then I started hacking away. Ran through a whole tank of gas clearing up some downed trees in the woods and the thing really rips. I refilled it and it started on the first pull again. Dropped a small tree and limbed the whole thing quick. Stopped to stack up what I had, and it fired on the first pull again. Ran out the tank and called it quits for the afternoon. Tons of power, it really gets it. I keep laughing as I run this thing because there ain't no way this little piece of plastic junk is outrunning my 455's but it's a smooth saw and just eats through the wood. I have to imagine it's gonna fail on me quickly or refuse to start or something, but one day in, the thing is awesome! Stay tuned. Update11/21/24: Have been using as my regular wood saw since purchase. Starts up on the first or second pull every time. Sat for about 3 weeks and started on the first pull. The chain that came with it needs tightened back up every other tank of gas or so.

So far it’s pretty good, I’m impressed. I used it for an hour or two tonight, kept my stihl by my side the whole time knowing I was going to need it but never did. Cuts great. This thing is a little beast tbh very powerful. Average weight for the size, functions great, seem pretty durable except the handle bends very easily. Assembles just like any other saw. I cut some large beach with no issue then this small beach, elm, and maple that came down in the ice storm last week. Will try to update in time.

So far so great! This things rips!! I took down a palm tree like it was made of butter. Easy to assemble and the factory blade is sharp but if it fills it comes with EVERYTHING you need to run a chainsaw. A file a mixing bottle a cover chain and bar. It came with everything except 2 stroke oil and bar oil. Out the door it was only $121 for the saw and oil. It'll get used for sure. It's not a Stihl but if you're not a professional this is all the saw you need. Well balanced and cuts great! And for only $94 for just the saw it's a deal!! It's a medium sized saw and the 20 inch bar is more than enough to destroy a tree. My palm tree WAS about 18 inches and it's now a pile next to my gate.

Good value for the price, cuts very well out of the box. few pulls and it sarted easy. Some specs are not clear and you will need to figure out before buying replacement parts. See below. The chain is very sharp and it cut just as good as my friends Stihl chain saw. I need my own 20" to cut through large diameter Oak and Ash trees, and renting one from a big box store for 2 days would have cost more than this chainsaw. So as long as it lasted 3 days it would pay for itself. So far its paying off. Some things to know....with this chainsaw and probably all of them you will need to learn to maintain chainsaws, like tuning the carb (easy, plenty of online videos), sharpening the chain (you can buy the Oregon field sharpening kit), and basic cleaning of the saw. One design flaw I have noted thus far is the air filter design, hence the 4*. It's a simple plastic mesh screen like most saws, but this one is allowing sawdust to get in the carb (see photo) as mentioned by another reviewer. I thought it was the filter to carb seal, but I believe it is the two-piece clam shell design, which needs the edges to be sealed up. I even found saw dust inside the filter. You can search and find rectangle paper filter here on Amazon to retrofit, just search for "63cc chainsaw paper filter", it will come with filter and plastic intake elbow, it says up to 58cc but will work. I found a metal elbow variant elesewhere. Chain spec is mysterious and not properly listed here. There are few specs you need to know to order a replacement chain. Pitch - 0.325" Length - 20" Gauge - the Guide Bar gauge is 0.058" (missing info) Drive Link (DL) - 76 There are plenty of replacments here on Amazon with those specs (20", 0.325" pitch, 0.058" gauge, 76DL). Carb tuning - I did have to adjust the carb after about 3-4 tank full of fuel, maybe due to break in. Its easy to adjust. Longer Bar - I intend to install 24" bar for chainsaw milling of some of the logs. I found that most ripping chains have a 3/8 drive. I need to fiture out if the T7 size drum sprocket needs to be replaced to T7 3/8 drum sprocket. I do see replacement rim sprockets with this spec on Amazon (and shown in the manual), but my chain rides direcly on the sprocket gear. Bar Mount - I have measured and looked over Oregon mounts and this bar mount is closest to D176. Lots of replacements in this mount type. But I need to figure out the sprocket part first. Fuel mix - 50:1 just like very other chain saw, the manual may reference 25;1 but it is in error. Even the label on the chainsaw states 50:1. Overall, great value, great tinkering saw....good learning tool. Only difference I see with the $500 class chainsaws is the longer warranty, better service, and longer implied life. They do come with better bar and chain but you can easiy upgrade those.
