The biggest issue is most sink installations don't provide electrical outlets under the sink. Water starts out scalding hot, but after about 1 minute goes to warm, I have the thermostat set at 120. For washing dishes , I would like for it to stay hot. I would not buy again.

I have a bathroom at the far end of my house that takes a genuinely frustrating amount of time to get hot water from the main water heater. I'd been putting up with it for years and finally decided to solve the problem properly with a small point of use unit installed under the sink. This compact tank has worked exactly as I hoped and the difference in daily convenience has been noticeable from day one. Installation was straightforward and didn't require any special wiring since it plugs directly into a standard outlet under the cabinet. Connecting the inlet and outlet hoses was simple with the included hardware and the whole process took me about an hour working carefully and following the instructions. The tip about wrapping the safety valve with waterproof tape before tightening is worth paying attention to, I followed it and have had zero leakage since installation. The heat up time is impressively fast. From cold it reaches usable temperature in well under ten minutes, and since it holds 2.5 gallons it's ready to deliver hot water immediately when I need it rather than running the tap waiting for warmth to arrive. The digital display showing the current water temperature is a feature I appreciate more than expected since it lets me know exactly what's ready without any guesswork. The temperature knob gives precise control across the full range and the auto switch to energy saving mode after heating means it's not running at full power constantly. Installed under the bathroom sink that is always running cold at start-up because of the distance to my main heater. This heater solved the problem. The best feature of this unit is it is 120vac and can be plugged into a standard 15a house outlet. I have never had an issue with recovery as it just supplies the one sink fixture. I love this water heater. The size fits right under the sink in the bathroom and will give me hot water on demand instead of waiting for the hot water to travel from the big tank on the other end of the house. It came with all the necessary parts for installation, a good manual and at a more than reasonable price point. This will save on water usage as well as electricity.
