This battery charger is small and easy to use. I view it more as a battery maintainer rather than a charger. It will charge but the low amperage means it will take some time. The charger works well.

I ordered this to help keep the battery topped off of my 2nd car that I hardly use. I couldn't have ordered this at a better time. When I went to start my 2nd car, the battery was in-fact completely dead. I expect some charge, but to my dismay, no charge was there. Lucky for me, I received my battery charger that day and hooked it up. It was very simple and straight forward to use. Just hook it up to your cars battery, then plug in the other cord into your household outlet. Very simple. After about 6 hours plugged in, I did have enough of a charge with the battery to start the engine however, it clearly needed more time. For chargers like this, on a dead battery, expect to have this plugged in for at least two days to have anything meaningful. Although this may be a bit of time to wait for some people, these types of chargers were not designed for quick charging. They were designed to charge the battery in a meaningful way to help preserve the overall life of the battery. By Quick charging your battery with anything other than your car, you can shorten the life-span of your car battery. So the manufacturer of this charger hit it out of the park be making a great product. As a piece of advice, when using this to charge up a dead battery, make sure to keep it plugged in and attached to the battery until the unit tells you that it's fully charged. In case you forget about it being plugged in, don't worry about It, this charger will automatically stop charging your cars battery when it has been fully charged. For some people you can just leave this plugged in for long period of time and this charge will take care of maintaining the battery charge over the long term, so when you need to use your car or any other machine that requires a battery, you won't have to worry of whether or not the battery is charged because this will do a good job maintaining the battery charge for you.

We have a van we rarely use, and more than once, we've accidentally let the battery run all the way down. Happened again this past week. We had bought a very expensive, fancy charger before, and it was great, but it got left charging during a rainstorm, so that was the end of that one... Got this today, clamped it onto the battery. The connecting clamps are compact and adequate. The instructions were clear enough to read and understand, and sufficiently explained the lights on the charger. By the evening (maybe 4-5 hours later), we were able to start the vehicle! Yay!! We're gonna leave it plugged in until it says fully charged. And that brings me to the one thing I wish this had: some kind of indicator to show what percentage of charging is complete. Honestly, maybe it's not possible with ANY piece of equipment to know how much more charging is needed for a car battery. (Maybe I'm wishing it were more like a phone.) But it's the one thing that would be great that isn't included with this particular product.

This item is a no frills car battery charger. The LED indicator notifies you when the charger is active but does not indicate voltage or if there is an error with the charging. For example, it kept indicating that my dead battery was attempting to charge but never showed that charging was complete or that there was a voltage/charging issue. With a functional battery, the product worked as intended.

I used this charger for multiple batteries from motorcycles to cars to a boat. It worked great and can actually charge up to 1 amp, unlike other maintenance chargers that only maintain a full charge. Then I "accidentally" gave it the torture test. I hooked it up on one of my boat batteries in the dark. I came back 3 days later and the yellow charging light was still on, not the green fully charged light I was expecting. After following the leads I discovered that I had hooked it up backwards! I thought for sure the charger was fried, but after hooking it up correctly it worked perfectly and has been since. Definitely deserves 5 stars just for that, but I also like the large clips that go easily and hold tightly. Highly recommended!

This charger is very easy to use. Prongs are a little loose in the outlet. Product feels very cheap but it gets the job done. Does take a long time (2-3 days) to charge a car.

This handy little tool has been just what my husband needed for his lawn care business.
