Great addition for my pool. Hard piped it in yesterday. Ran it all night and the pool was warm enough for the kids in the afternoon. Outside was around 75 degrees and pool water was about 88 degrees. Pulls little current (7ish amps), and is super quiet. I bought it for the cooling function as well. Can wait to test that in the heat of summer next year.

** Second Edit** I changed my review from one star to five. The company did reach out and offered to pay for the price of plug that I bought to fix this and even offered to pay for shipping if I wanted to return it. After using this all this summer, I would say BUY IT! I can not believe how fast this raised the temperature of our above ground pool. Our pool is under a patio cover and doesn't get any sun. Even when it is 90 outside, the pool would only get to 75 degrees without this thing. The app makes it so easy to control the heat pump. **EDIT** I bought a new GFCI plug end from Amazon and the pool heater works again. I will continue updating if I have any more problems. I still feel for the price I paid it should come with a plug that lasts and works safely and correctly for more than a month and a half. Worked great until it didn't. It does heat up the water and very quiet but only lasted about a month and a half. It is dead, won't turn on at all and singed my electrical outlet. I am going to try to replace the plug and see if I can get it working again but for this price I feel it should have came with a better plug. The reset and test buttons on the plug are soft and get stuck when trying to reset.

16000BTU Swimming Pool Heat Pump, 5000 Gallon Electric Pool Heater Above and Inground Pool,WiFi App Control, Heating or Cooling Pool Heater 120V/60Hz Have this installed on our above ground pool that is 15 feet round and 6o inches deep. It does a pretty good job. It is a much slower and more gradual heating than what we have with our hot tub which has a gas heater on it. That thing really cooks and can bump the water temperature up 50 degrees in an hour. This is more of a "run it nonstop for a week to get 10 degrees warmer" kind of heating. Don't get me wrong, it works but you just need to have proper expectations that this is more of a water warmer than a water heater.

This is an awesome little Heat Pump to extend your swimming season! It works well and takes about a day to increase the temperature about 10 degrees. You can maintain or increase this by using a solar blanket to help hold in and attract heat into the pool and then take off when not in use. The app is easy to use. I love that I have the ability to control things remotely in many different areas. It is easy to connect and setup. The power doesn’t have to have any special wiring. It runs on the 120v plug in. Overall, I think this is a great Heat Pump and I am happy to have it.

Pool heat pumps are very practical for small and medium-sized pools. I use it in an above-ground pool with a water volume of about 5,000 gallons. The heating effect is quite obvious, especially when there is a big temperature difference between morning and evening, which can keep the water temperature comfortable. It is electric and supports 120V. It can be used directly by connecting it to the electricity at home without changing the wiring. The most convenient thing is that it has WiFi control. You can turn it on or off or adjust it remotely on your mobile phone. If you turn it on in advance, the water temperature will be just right when you get to the pool, saving time and effort. The running noise is not loud and within an acceptable range. The only thing that I think is not perfect is that the heating speed is slower than expected. You have to wait patiently for a few hours to feel the obvious change. If the water volume is larger, it will take even longer.

We used this unit to warm up above ground pool that holds about 4,000 gallons. The heat was consistent and we could certainly tell a difference after it ran several hours through the afternoon. Installation took a fair amount of patience since the wiring wasn’t quite all there, and the manual didn’t answer a lot of our questions. Once installed, the heater obviously maintained comfortable water temperatures without much tuning. Functions rather well for the price!

The compact design is easy to hide behind structures or landscaping elements. It has a high efficiency titanium heat sink that keeps it running without the fear of overheating. The smart Life app is easy to set up and use allowing you to control it from your phone. The instructions were a little difficult to follow but I was able to figure everything out with the help of a YouTube video.
