It's just 'okay'. I needed another lamp for detailed needlework over my recliner. My previous lamp was so bright, it was perfect. Of course, they don't make them any longer. This one was a less expensive alternative to try out. I didn't care for it at all. The control dangles on the cord and any movement against the pole will cause it to switch on/off. Not exactly ideal when cats are winding their way through. The legs of the base were sturdy enough, but it's so lightweight, it's easy to knock over if you're not paying attention. The light wasn't all that bright, either. I spent a little more on a better light and relegated this one to the guest room as a reading lamp. ... show more
