Works great! As others have mentioned, the fans are either off, or on full speed and generate some noise, but not particularly loud. Maximum load I've connected is a 1300W heat gun and the inverter worked perfectly. I've now used this 1500W inverter about 30 times to power an 850W water kettle and simply works as it should. The manual states that "no-load current" is under 1.0A and I measured 0.85A. The manual does not specify "off current" which I measured at a very low 0.005A, with or without the remote switch attached. Would be nice if the display would show load current and/or load power in addition to input and output voltage.

We weren't sure how this was going to work but it did! We hooked it up to the battery that goes to our dump trailer and it worked just fine. We took it camping in the middle of winter and it powered two heating pads that kept our sleeping bags nice and toasty! This little inverter even powered a single cup coffee maker!

I love it! I purchased this inverter to replace the one I mounted under my passenger seat in my work truck thinking my old one had finally died. This is the first "pure sign-wave" inverter I've used and wish I would have got one sooner. With my old inverter if I would accidentally leave it on overnight my diesel truck with dual batteries would struggle to start if it would start at all. But with this new inverter, I have frequently forgotten to turn it off overnight and it doesn't seem to phase my trucks batteries at all. I love the remote power switch to mount anywhere so I don't have to reach over where I have it mounted trying to find the switch. I highly recommend this inverter. It's used everyday throughout my work day for months now and haven't had any issues yet

I was pleasantly surprised at the sound level from this inverter when in operation - there isn't any - it's completely silent! I was afraid the fans might be defective, until I ran my microwave. Then the fans kicked in, but only after running the microwave for awhile...but then, the fans only ran for a short period of time, then shut off again. The LED display is a nice touch, and the remote control is great...priced right, too. So far, so good - I recommend.

I haven't had much time with it, but I boiled water with a 1000w microwave with it and it did it. IT seems to run cool - the fans didn't kick on right away. BUT the fans are binary - full speed or off. This is fine for my usage. It won't be on when I am trying to sleep.
