I’ve been using the SEAVON 21 Pint Dehumidifier for a bit now, and honestly, it’s been great. It’s small, lightweight, and super simple to set up—basically plug it in, pick your setting, and let it do its thing. It pulls a surprising amount of moisture out of the air. Within a few hours you can actually feel the room is less stuffy, and it helps get rid of that damp, musty smell. It’s also pretty quiet, which I appreciate. I can run it at night or while watching TV without it being annoying. The only downside is the water tank isn’t huge, so if you’re dealing with a really humid room, you’ll be emptying it more often. But if you hook up the drain hose, it’s not a big deal. Also, this isn’t a big heavy-duty unit—better for bedrooms, bathrooms, or small basements, not huge spaces. Overall, it’s a solid little dehumidifier for the price. Easy to use, works well, and keeps the air feeling a lot more comfortable.

I purchased this Seavon AS280-W 21 pint dehumidifier at the suggestion of a friend who used one in the past and had a good experience with it. This instructions were very easy to follow and after plugging it in I noticed that its extremely quiet. It seems to be working well in my basement which is about 1500 square feet. It reduced the humidity significantly within the first week. It comes with a plastic hose if you choose to empty the water into a pump pump or you have the option to empty the water receptacle when it becomes full. A bright red light will tell you when it is full. It is easy to remove the water receptacle from the front and empty it. I would absolutely recommend this model to anyone needing a dehumidifier.

I've been running this dehumidifier in our little travel trailer for several days now and so far I'm thoroughly impressed with how much water it can pull out of the air given its small size and low energy consumption. This seems like about the perfect little unit for a smaller RV/camper/travel trailer. I don't have solar panels on my trailer just yet, but this would be a great addition to a solar setup since even a small to moderate system should easily be able to handle this thing running around the clock. It would be perfect for me since I don't have an outlet where I store my trailer and the humidity here can get fairly high. A couple other things that impressed me about this dehumidifier are its quiet operation and solid build quality. Time will tell how well it'll hold up to frequent use, but so far it seems to be of a higher quality than some of the other units I've owned in the past. If I had to come up with any 'desired changes' (I won't call them 'problems' because I'm being nit-picky here), it would be to add the option of turning off the light on the front of the unit (it's easy enough to throw a piece of tape over it, though), and also add the option to silence the beeps when pressing the buttons...again, nit-picking, but it would be nice to have the option. Overall. I'd consider this a solid little performer!

UPDATE: Since posting my review, the company reached out and offered a replacement. I am awaiting the replacement but in the meanwhile have updated to 4 stars. I will run the new unit and see if it lasts this time! Worked great for the first summer. The 2nd not so much. Immediately would run but not work. Instead of draining into the internal container, it just freezes up behind the air intake. I was initially impressed but do not buy if you want something that lasts. Used in a controlled, finished basement. Never abused.

This works well for a garage. I use it draining into a condensate pump which allows the water collected to be sent outside. As long as all of the instructions are followed, this will work well. I had an issue and the company responded very well and resolved my issue. The unit is not heavy but if you have to drain the tank depending on how much humidity is collected, you may need to drain it once a day like I had to do before getting the condensate pump. The noise level is very low as I barely notice it's even on without any other sound. My two-car garage at about 600 square feet is usually around 65% humidity in the state of Georgia but with this, it's consistently kept at about 45% during spring and summer months. As many of you may know, 60% or higher is what mold likes. This unit is good for mold prevention. There are two different speed settings for the fan. I keep it on high because the power usage isn't bad. It's kind of like having half the power of a laptop running. I like the design of the unit but recommend a condensate pump if the water needs to flow upwards at all from where the dehumidifier is placed without tank drain. Otherwise the tank would need to be drained regularly. The value is worth it and pays for itself over time to keep mold and possibly any bugs away that like a high humidity environment. I have a second one of these in my bathroom which drains into the sink. That one helps with humidity in the bathroom as well as the bedrooms near it.

1500 sq ft is extremely misleading and got me when I was looking for a quick fix for my basement - it's a 21 pt dehumidifier. That's really the spec you want to look at. The unit itself is TINY (check the measurements). Should've been my first indicator it wouldn't be enough. It runs fine, but is really small for a single 12' x 30' room. It takes down the humidity from 63 to 60 running full blast 24/7. Hasn't leaked yet, only been running a month and a half. I feel like $120 for this was a bit overpriced. I'll probably go get a larger unit and run it alongside it to not completely have wasted my money on it.
