I’ve been using the SEAVON 21 Pint Dehumidifier for a bit now, and honestly, it’s been great. It’s small, lightweight, and super simple to set up—basically plug it in, pick your setting, and let it do its thing. It pulls a surprising amount of moisture out of the air. Within a few hours you can actually feel the room is less stuffy, and it helps get rid of that damp, musty smell. It’s also pretty quiet, which I appreciate. I can run it at night or while watching TV without it being annoying. The only downside is the water tank isn’t huge, so if you’re dealing with a really humid room, you’ll be emptying it more often. But if you hook up the drain hose, it’s not a big deal. Also, this isn’t a big heavy-duty unit—better for bedrooms, bathrooms, or small basements, not huge spaces. I’ve been battling dampness and that musty smell in my basement for years, and this 500 sq.ft dehumidifier has been a total game changer!     • Used for Greenhouse
First impression is that it was a lot heavier than I imagined. But that’s a good thing. It means it’s powerful! Medium sized dehumidifier. Not like the smaller counter top ones but not a huge large basement type one. Perfect for what I needed it for. I went thru two other smaller ones and they just weren’t powerful enough for the conditions it would be in and what I’d need it to do. I have a small pop up greenhouse and adding a hot sink to it caused the humidity in it to skyrocket to 90%-95% - it’s a 5 gallon bucket with an immersion heater that keeps the water at 110 degrees to release heat into the greenhouse along with a smaller regular heater. Didn’t think it thru and next thing ya kno the humidity levels in there shot up! The first two dehumidifiers just weren’t powerful enough to get it from 90-95% down to 75% tops. It’s not the fault of the smaller Dehumidifiers - they just weren’t strong enough to deal with the high humidity in there and the constant humidity that was continuously being added into the atmosphere from the hot sink. I decided to get this medium sized one to see if it would work better. I don’t have the data quite yet but based on the look, size, and feel - I’m sure this should do the trick! I also like how it has a clothes drying function. I might even end up using it outside of my greenhouse in the winter and use it to dry things in the summertime! I like the drain pipe so I don’t have to constantly empty a container and I can even recycle the water and put it back into the 5 gallon bucket hot sink to be re-used! Ill try and update this once I have some hard data but keep in mind I am using it in extreme conditions in my greenhouse. I’m sure the smaller ones that I got were fine too - they just didn’t suit my specific needs for the extreme conditions. Since it’s so heavy the wheels on the bottom add a nice touch! Edit: it’s been running for several hours now and even tho it’s rainy outside and more moist - this has kept the humidity down in the greenhouse to exactly where I want it to be - as I expected. I have it set for 70% and right now, my temp gauge and hydrometer is recording 74% and it’s kept the humidity down to the 70% range, which is what I wanted. Even if the devices hydrometer reads 70% right now it’s still all within the range I wanted it to be which was above 60% but below 80% and definitely no more than 85% ... show more

    • It definitely removes moisture from the room....but,
Revised & Updated: I've been using this unit for a bit over a week now and it appears to be doing it's job of removing enough moisture in the room to bring the swelling of the hardwood floor back to normal. More time will tell but it doesn't take very long to drop the humidity down to the unit minimum of 30%. The unit removes about 2/3 to 3/4 of the tank of water overnight and a couple times it filled to the overflow shutoff. Not bad. More time will tell if the unit can handle some very humid weather. Event though the unit is 'rated' as a 1500sq/ft capacity it appears my 800sq/ft room may be overpowering its ablility to remove enough humidity to keep the wood flooring from developing some bulges. It has only been a few days and so I'll give it a week or two but I may need a larger unit to keep ahead of the high humidity. It is very quiet even at max settings and sitting close by, it is pulling a good amount of water and overall appears to work as advertised. ... show more

    • Worked extremely well but stopped working after 1.5 years
Ordered January 2025, stopped working May 2026 One year and five months of operation I have to say, it was VERY quiet, removed about a bucket of water a day, so IT WORKED WELL but it did stop working yesterday, I always vacuumed the filter when it filled up, so it was not making too much effort; in fact the fan STILL runs with no issues, the electronics work, it tells humidity and everything; but the actual dehumidifier cannot be heard, and of course it is not collecting water and the humidity doe not move OVERALL; I still rate it five starts, I will buy another dehumidifier, the machines are GREAT, sad that it only worked for a year ... show more

    • Not ideal for unfinished basements
Product looks lovely, it quiet, and has an intuitive design. I love that it has a drain so you dont have to enpty it. However, I thought it was defective for several days because it was not dehumidifying my basement. I brought it upstairs and it worked perfectly. The average basement temp in america is 50-55°F per google. Ive never checked mine, but it has to be above that because I would personally be freezing. I will say that the customer service is responsive. And theyre the only reason why I thought to bring it upstairs to check. Their email mentioned it should be above 65°. My guess is my basement is 60-63°. 3 stars because it looks attractive, is quiet, and customer service responds to emails. Minus two stars because they advertise basements and unless your basement is 65-70°, I wouldn't count on this to work ... show more

    • Customer service is excellent
This works well for a garage. I use it draining into a condensate pump which allows the water collected to be sent outside. As long as all of the instructions are followed, this will work well. I had an issue and the company responded very well and resolved my issue. The unit is not heavy but if you have to drain the tank depending on how much humidity is collected, you may need to drain it once a day like I had to do before getting the condensate pump. The noise level is very low as I barely notice it's even on without any other sound. My two-car garage at about 600 square feet is usually around 65% humidity in the state of Georgia but with this, it's consistently kept at about 45% during spring and summer months. As many of you may know, 60% or higher is what mold likes. This unit is good for mold prevention. There are two different speed settings for the fan. I keep it on high because the power usage isn't bad. It's kind of like having half the power of a laptop running. I like the design of the unit but recommend a condensate pump if the water needs to flow upwards at all from where the dehumidifier is placed without tank drain. Otherwise the tank would need to be drained regularly. The value is worth it and pays for itself over time to keep mold and possibly any bugs away that like a high humidity environment. I have a second one of these in my bathroom which drains into the sink. That one helps with humidity in the bathroom as well as the bedrooms near it. ... show more
