I purchased this Seavon AS280-W 21 pint dehumidifier at the suggestion of a friend who used one in the past and had a good experience with it. This instructions were very easy to follow and after plugging it in I noticed that its extremely quiet. It seems to be working well in my basement which is about 1500 square feet. It reduced the humidity significantly within the first week. It comes with a plastic hose if you choose to empty the water into a pump pump or you have the option to empty the water receptacle when it becomes full. A bright red light will tell you when it is full. It is easy to remove the water receptacle from the front and empty it. I would absolutely recommend this model to anyone needing a dehumidifier. ... show more

This works well for a garage. I use it draining into a condensate pump which allows the water collected to be sent outside. As long as all of the instructions are followed, this will work well. I had an issue and the company responded very well and resolved my issue. The unit is not heavy but if you have to drain the tank depending on how much humidity is collected, you may need to drain it once a day like I had to do before getting the condensate pump. The noise level is very low as I barely notice it's even on without any other sound. My two-car garage at about 600 square feet is usually around 65% humidity in the state of Georgia but with this, it's consistently kept at about 45% during spring and summer months. As many of you may know, 60% or higher is what mold likes. This unit is good for mold prevention. There are two different speed settings for the fan. I keep it on high because the power usage isn't bad. It's kind of like having half the power of a laptop running. I like the design of the unit but recommend a condensate pump if the water needs to flow upwards at all from where the dehumidifier is placed without tank drain. Otherwise the tank would need to be drained regularly. The value is worth it and pays for itself over time to keep mold and possibly any bugs away that like a high humidity environment. I have a second one of these in my bathroom which drains into the sink. That one helps with humidity in the bathroom as well as the bedrooms near it. ... show more

This dehumidifier works incredibly well! It’s highly effective at pulling a lot of moisture out of the air. Despite its compact size, it’s surprisingly powerful and does an excellent job at maintaining a comfortable environment. It is pretty quiet and worth the money. My only wish is that the water tank were a bit larger, as it fills up quickly due to its efficiency. That said, its small size makes it easy to move around and fit into tight spaces, which is a big plus. Overall, I’m very impressed with its performance and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, space-saving dehumidifier! ... show more

Overall, this humidifier works well. My four stars is because of design. It would be nice if there was a pour spout when emptying it. The water goes everywhere so you have to be careful when pouring it out. The second is when the container is full, water sloshes out everywhere when you are carrying it. Doesnt matter how careful i try to be, water is going to spill out. The water level when it is full has zero allowance and spills everywhere which is annoying. ... show more

Works great and quietly in my 1100 sqft finished basement. I noticed that if we hadn’t been down there a bunch, it could start to smell musky. Now it’s fresh and we have a constant humidity down there. I’m still using the internal reservoir for now but will eventually run a straight line to my sump. I needed a small dehumidifier for my basement and this unit has done a great job.You do have to be sure to empty the water every couple of days but that's no problem. If you don't want your stored belongings or clothes to end up smelling like mildew this unit is well worth it and If you do forget to empty it, the light will turn read and warn you that its time to empty and its quite easy. Unit is well built, quiet and works automatically when the humidity hits a certain level. I hooked up a drain line to it and now it operates perfectly on its own. Remember it's like a refrigerator so keep it upright and handle carefully. It needed a drain line, because when it rains it can easily fill its internal container in a half a day.
