I’ve been using the SEAVON 21 Pint Dehumidifier for a bit now, and honestly, it’s been great. It’s small, lightweight, and super simple to set up—basically plug it in, pick your setting, and let it do its thing. It pulls a surprising amount of moisture out of the air. Within a few hours you can actually feel the room is less stuffy, and it helps get rid of that damp, musty smell. It’s also pretty quiet, which I appreciate. I can run it at night or while watching TV without it being annoying. The only downside is the water tank isn’t huge, so if you’re dealing with a really humid room, you’ll be emptying it more often. But if you hook up the drain hose, it’s not a big deal. Also, this isn’t a big heavy-duty unit—better for bedrooms, bathrooms, or small basements, not huge spaces. I purchased this Seavon AS280-W 21 pint dehumidifier at the suggestion of a friend who used one in the past and had a good experience with it. This instructions were very easy to follow and after plugging it in I noticed that its extremely quiet. It seems to be working well in my basement which is about 1500 square feet. It reduced the humidity significantly within the first week. It comes with a plastic hose if you choose to empty the water into a pump pump or you have the option to empty the water receptacle when it becomes full. A bright red light will tell you when it is full. It is easy to remove the water receptacle from the front and empty it. I would absolutely recommend this model to anyone needing a dehumidifier. ... show more

One of the best dehumidifiers I have used. Has lasted and worked excellently. Easy to dump out the water, and seems to run efficiently. I bought two of them, and both work like little troopers. Long story short, we used to have a small dehumidifier similar to this unit and I was always impressed at how well it actually worked. We have since moved to Florida where the humidity is constant, even with AC. We decided to finally get one and it took some considerable searching to decide on what we wanted and needed. We decided on this unit, largely because it caught my eye and I like the look. Modern and simple, nothing crazy. But it also was rated for over double what our last small dehumidifier was rated at, meaning it should help twice as much, right? So far the first impressions have been very good! It looks and feels like it's made reasonably well. I have only rated 4 stars simply because it's the first day we have owned it and I want to be sure before I give it 5 star's. So far it seems to be working well, we have it in the bathroom currently, and we took a hot shower, purposefully leaving the vent fan off to see if it was able to help at all. I'm glad to report it immediately started collecting water in the tank! It definitely seem more powerful/capable than our last small unit. I'm hoping this unit helps enough to ease some of humidity from the AC alone, rather than needing to spend way more in a different unit. But only time will tell! Overall I'm impressed and it seems to be doing well! No complaints yet either, personally the beep is a little loud, but honestly it's not a big deal. I do wish it had a drain option, but again, not a problem, and I knew exactly what I was buying. So if you need a small, affordable machine to help for a bathroom or something, it should be good! ... show more

This works well for a garage. I use it draining into a condensate pump which allows the water collected to be sent outside. As long as all of the instructions are followed, this will work well. I had an issue and the company responded very well and resolved my issue. The unit is not heavy but if you have to drain the tank depending on how much humidity is collected, you may need to drain it once a day like I had to do before getting the condensate pump. The noise level is very low as I barely notice it's even on without any other sound. My two-car garage at about 600 square feet is usually around 65% humidity in the state of Georgia but with this, it's consistently kept at about 45% during spring and summer months. As many of you may know, 60% or higher is what mold likes. This unit is good for mold prevention. There are two different speed settings for the fan. I keep it on high because the power usage isn't bad. It's kind of like having half the power of a laptop running. I like the design of the unit but recommend a condensate pump if the water needs to flow upwards at all from where the dehumidifier is placed without tank drain. Otherwise the tank would need to be drained regularly. The value is worth it and pays for itself over time to keep mold and possibly any bugs away that like a high humidity environment. I have a second one of these in my bathroom which drains into the sink. That one helps with humidity in the bathroom as well as the bedrooms near it. ... show more
