It's a good metal detector to start out with. It is not too expensive and works well. I do however recommend getting the pin pointer wand, it really narrows the search once an item is located.

I just received my Hazlewalke metal detector a couple of weeks ago. As a amateur with meatal detecting, it was very easy to assemble. I followed the instructions to set it up to be able to differentiate between different types of metals and then went out to test it out. I've been out multiple times and each time I have found at least found an item of some value right where it indicated it would be. I'm still figuring out on where exactly to fine tune some of the settings, but with time and experience I expect it to all come together. Thanks for making a great product for us amateurs to get out there and get started with to enjoy the treasure hunting experience!

I have only gotten this metal detector out to play around with it. I thought it would be fun to go to local parks and similar places with the grands and see what we can find. I quickly realized I need to do some homework before we set off for an adventure. I have never used a metal detector before so it is a little more complicated than I originally expected. It does seem to be user-friendly. I just want to learn more before using it “in the field.” Now that the weather is warming up I look forward to getting it out again soon and seeing what I can discover.
