Well, this KAISAL 14.6 Volt 50 Amp battery charger is a high-quality, reliable charger designed to charge a wide variety of models like EZGO, ClubCar, or Yamaha golf carts that use the new generation of 12V (12.8V) LiFePO4 batteries. Or you can use it to charge an electric bike, RV, boat, solar, or home batteries! Basically, any golf cart or other small electric vehicle as long as it accepts 12 Volt and draws up to 50 Amps (wow!) and has LiFePO4 type of battery. It is utmostly important to verify that your battery has LiFePO4 type of battery because the charger does not work with any other type like Lithium, AGM, gel, or lead types. The charger features two O-type terminals that can be directly wired and connected to the battery and ensures a secure and efficient charging process. You can also quick-swap it to alligator type terminals to temporarily hook it up to any battery. The charger delivers an impressive 14.6V/50A output for its compact form-factor, which provides a quick and efficient charge to your LiFePO4 batteries, ensuring that you have plenty of power to tackle to get back on the road. The high output also means that the charging process is fast, so you can spend less time waiting for your batteries to charge. This LiFePO4 battery charger is also designed with safety in mind. My only complaint about this KAISAL 12V 50A LiFePO4 Lithium Battery Charger is that I see no mention of it being IP rated. I use a lot of chargers -- I maintain several golf cart batteries, boat batteries, and mower batteries -- and almost all of my chargers are IP rated for water and dust resistance. I will note, however, that it is much faster than most of my other chargers, and it makes me wonder if the heat generated by this much speed increases the need for ventilation, therefore posing a challenge to seal it up. I have seen 50 amp chargers that are IP rated. But also, I do have one other similar 50 amp charger (off-brand), and it is the only other charger I have that is not IP rated. Instead of being sealed, I can easily see inside the housing through the vent holes. Inside I can see exposed wiring and the cooling fan, components that could get damaged or clogged if exposed to water, debris, etc. However the speed and size are incredible. It comes with ring-style terminal connectors (the ideal connection type), and also alligator clips (a backup option). It charged my smaller 5.0Ah battery in about 20 minutes, and charged my 100Ah marine battery in slightly over 2 hours. This is 5x faster than my other LiFePO4 chargers. I used my infrared laser thermometer to monitor the temperature, and it got a little warm -- 130 degrees F was its max temperature. This was about 10-20 degrees warmer than my other chargers, but wasn't concerning, and is to be expected for a rapid charger like this. My favorite feature is the smart charging cycle. Instead of providing a steady current, it has a warm-up and cool-down process. This may add a few minutes to the charge cycle, but it should also help the health of the battery. It's a very small footprint, roughly 9.5 x 5 inches, and about 3 inches tall (not including the handle). It has mounting brackets (no mounting hardware is included). The handle is designed for easy removal if you're looking for a lower profile (just two Philip's PH2 screws). The cord is 42 inches from the charger to the battery, and 45 inches from the battery to the wall. The 45 inch cord is removable, and is a standard 3-prong power cord, like you would find on a desktop computer or monitor. So it would be easy to use a longer cord if you wish. However, the provided cables provide roughly 8 foot reach, not including the terminal ring cables. I think it's a good overall value, as long as you're not needing a charger that will be exposed to the elements.

This charger is what you want if you are wanting to charge a bank of batteries with at least 2 100 amp-hour size in parallel. If you just have a battery like 50AH size, stay with a 20A charger or smaller (it's a cheaper charger and better for the battery). As a rule of thumb, I suggest that if you know something like a boat motor will need power like 30 amps, have at least a 30 amp-hour battery for it (so it lasts at least 1 hour). Not having a big enough battery will make it have a poor life going bad in a few years rather than 10+ years from the high demand on a small size. Likewise, a charger should be less than the battery rating where you don't want to put this 50A charger on a 30AH battery (the battery needs time to absorb the power). Otherwise the charger is good with it regulating the voltage to 14.5V to avoid damage to batteries from "overcharging". I like the Anderson plugs for connections that can be used for more than the charger on your battery (although if you need 50+ amps to things, you may need bigger wires running off the batteries). This has no buttons for changing settings, you just plug in the 12V plug and then the AC cord and let it go. It has just one LED to indicate charging with color codes like red is below 80%, yellow is over 80% and green is 100% done. So if you want the "Keep it simple" system, this may be what you want (although some may like ones where they reduce power charges etc).
