I love this Jump Starter for several reasons: It is very compact and everything fits neatly into a zippered case. The whole unit is roughly the size of a brick; In addition to its primary function as a jump starter it also 2 led lights that once turned on can be set to a steady glow, slow blink or strobe mode; the unit also functions as a charging block with one USB port. The unit charges quickly with the included USB to USBc cord and the stored power percentage shows in the digital screen. The color coded positive and negative battery leads plug into the side of the unit when used to jump start a vehicle. I happened to leave my dome light on in my car the night prior and woke to a dead battery the next morning. I followed the easy instructions for this unit and my car started on the first try. The unit showed 99% stored power when I hooked it up and 84% after the jump. Very Impressive! I'm happy to add this to my vehicle emergency kit.

I've been keeping an emergency jump starter in my vehicles for many years. They used to be larger and heavier. Because they now use Lithium batteries instead of older technology 12 V batteries, they are physically smaller and lighter. This particular jump starter, the GansTiank 12V 5000A Car Battery Jump Starter, is the most powerful one I have ever used. With 5000A of power it can start the largest vehicle engines with little trouble. I live in Wisconsin and it gets pretty cold here in the winter. It feels good to know I have a heavy duty emergency jump starter in the back of my suv, available should I ever need it. Mine came almost fully charged, but I topped the charge up to full in about 15 minutes after I opened the box. It can also be used to charge up your other usb C type devices, such as a phone or a tablet. I would be a little careful about leaving this jump starter where the hot sun can shine on it all day. I place it in the back of my suv under my car blanket.

Pros: Lighter than expected for its size USB-C Charging Port Includes carry case Charges devices as expected Provides enough charge for multiple devices from empty to full Cons: Charger not included, just USB Cable I was surprised at how light this Car Battery Jump Starter was. Given the battery size and the overall packaging, I was expecting a lot more weight. Having a USB-C charging port is convenient, as more and more devices are moving to that format. Unfortunately this does not come with a dedicated charging brick, just a cable that you can use to plug into a brick or charge your phone with. The included carry case is very nice to have, as it keeps things organized and together. I was able to charge multiple devices from empty to full on a single charge. In the past month of ownership, I did not come across an opportunity to test this on a vehicle and will update this review if an opportunity arises. Overall, I am happy with this device and keep it in my vehicle for emergencies.

This little jump starter is unbelievably powerful for its size. The 5000A peak output is no joke — it jumped my truck instantly, and the onboard digital display makes it easy to see the charge level at a glance. It charges fast, holds its charge extremely well, and the included accessories (USB ports, flashlight, clamps, storage case) make it genuinely useful beyond emergencies. The clamps feel higher quality than most budget jump starters. They grip tight, stay put, and don’t flex or bend. The overall design feels durable and thoughtfully engineered. The Amazon product page claims a peak current of 5,000 amps and 2,000 cranking amps, however the actual product only lists a car starting voltage and there are no cranking amp figures anywhere on the product, in the user manual, or printed on the box. The jump starter cables are 8 AWG and from a bit of research I found jump starters with 2,000 amps peak (remember this product claims 5,000 amps peak) would normally use 2 AWG cables at a minimum (2 AWG carries roughly 4x the amperage as 8 AWG cables...lower AWG = larger cable). This item is not CE or UL certified. The jump starter itself is made of plastic and does feel fairly durable especially since it comes with a semi rigid case. I was able to confirm the reverse polarity protection does work so you shouldn't have to worry about hooking this up backwards and damaging your vehicle. Fortunately all of our vehicles are running properly at the moment, but this means I couldn't actually jump start a completely dead vehicle as a test. In fact, I have carried a similar product around in our vehicle for 3 years and have only used it once to help another stranded motorist...so these products are in the category of "better to have and not need than to need and not have." The flashlight function provides good close in area illumination but is not designed to shine far. It works well to light up a dark car engine bay. The slow steady flash function would also be good if you ever breakdown on the side of the road and need to warn oncoming traffic. Overall, I do not have the equipment to debunk the 5,000 amp claim but I would advise you not to choose the item (or similar jump starters) based only on this claim. My name brand jump starter that is similar in size, weight, etc is CE and UL certified and claims a much more realistic 300 cranking amps.

I purchase the Ganstiank 12v 5000A car battery jump starter for my wife to have in her vehicle for the winter months .its a multifunction starter that will work on all 12volt car batteries. The car battery jump starter delivers a strong current with overcharge protection ,anti reverse protection,emergency lighting and a USB port at the bottom to change phones or tablets The car jump starter is very easy to use you just plug the cables into the ports on the side then hook the alligator clips to your battery (red-positive ) (black - negative ). It’s easy to charge you just plug in type C charging wire into the port on the side of the starter and the USB end into any AC outlet . It comes with its own carrying case and detailed instructions on how to use . The only downfall is the length of the cables they need to be a bit longer . It’s a really good quality jump starter for a reasonable price that will leave you with piece of mind if you ever get in a situation where your car battery ,phone or tablet battery Needs a little jump start or you may need some emergency lighting .
