So I have the same issue as another guy did, I put the battery charge gauge in exactly as the instructions said and double checked about 4 times. The gauge stays on constantly even though I wired into the ignition switch to have the gauge on only when the key is on. Edit: I rececently realized that the problem i had and possibly other people have had was caused by using the original 2 pin ignition switch and no 12 volt inverter. I installed a 4 pin ignition ignition switch and made a 36 volt circuit and a 12 volt circuit and was then able to correctly wire the battery gauge which now works perfect.

The meter has not be activated because I am concerned about wiring area behind my old Murray tractor. This looks to be well made electrically. Good solid solders. Very good quality fittings. Good instructions. I should have looked before ordering for a mounting plan B. It's an old tractor and a external mounting box would be fine but I can not find one to fit it and then I could glue or whatever it to the dash. If I can't get it to fit in the hole I have my backup plan was not well thought out. There are many round external mounts so that may be what I end up with. Just be aware that you must have enough room behind your gauge also, if not you are not going to enjoy your meter. They give you measurements but don't show the extra room needed on backside. I figured I would just order a mount, I could not find one to buy

If I could give a negative number I would. We bought one followed directions and didn’t work. I should mention my hubby is a mechanic and knows what he is doing. We exchanged it and hooked up the second one. It worked for a short time then all of a sudden our batteries wouldn’t charge and eventually died. Hauled the golf cart to the shop and this module has killed our batteries. So $2000 (for new batteries) later we bought a different midule from a reputable source and it works great.

This item is very small. The LED segments are even smaller. Installed in the dash of my Golf Cart, the distance and angle make it that much harder to see. During the day, in the sunlight, this meter is impossible to see. At night, the display is very easy to see. Too bad that it is illegal to ride a golf cart on the street after dark.
