  • Exceeding my needs.
I used one of the 100 Ah 12.8 V models to build an off-grid solar power rig. I have not load tested to know if it truly hits the 100 Ah level, but it is easily exceeding my current needs. It will accept as much power as my charge controller and panels can dish out (about 30-35 amps) until it fills, so it charges quite well and quickly. I've been able to leave my inverter on 24/7 without any concern about the drain. They included two sets of post bolts in the package, so you have spares if you damage or drop one. Post bolt caps are also included. They appear to be either 8mm or 5/8", not sure, haven't checked which, but they fit nicely into the commonly-used ring terminals. I was able to connect it with a battery post fuse to a DC fuse block to connect it to my miscellaneous DC loads. Going to be adding more loads in the coming weeks, including lighting, computer networking equipment and two-way radios and may update this as the demands for after-hours power grows. ... show more

  • Internal BMS Top Balancing Problem
I purchased a 100 ah Yeagulch LiFePO4 Lithium Battery in February 2026. It came roughly 40% charged. I put in on a Nico Genius 10 amp charger for the recommended period before attempting to use it. The first few times I used the battery were extremely low load exploratory exercises. I was shocked when the battery readout quickly went from fully charged to 20% in less than 2 hours with nothing more than a cell phone and and an Ipad USB connected. Neither device was below 30% capacity. So it was unreasonable that such low loads would drain nearly 80% of the 100 ah Yeagulch capacity. At first I believed it was something I was doing wrong either in the way I built my DIY box or I maybe had a bad amp reader. It was when I researched the issue more aggressively I first learned of the problem that some BMS units do not properly balance the cells inside their lithium batteries. In such cases the defective lithium batteries behave similarly to the one I purchased. Namely, they show fully charged on a charger's reading and on any amp reader present prior to adding any load. But as soon as one attaches a load, the defective lithium batteries begin depleting at shockingly fast rates well above what any attached load's draw down should produce. It took me until April 6th to figure learn about this possible defect with some BMS systems. But wait...There's more! Since I didn't discover the problem until after the return window had closed, apparently I will now have to eat the entire cost of purchasing this product that was defective from before day one. Now here's a real kicker! There is a fix for this defect in a lithium battery's BMS. It requires opening the case of the defective battery and adding a component called a 'balancing board.' But like many, I am a DIY amateur in the buildout and usage of DIY lithium power units. I can't imagine having to do such a repair to rescue a brand new lithium battery. Furthermore, opening the case will most certainly void any existing warranty on the product. So now, I'm left with three unpleasant options. Either I accept I now own a completely diminished product because I got taken to the cleaners on a bad purchase or I step into deeper water in the lithium battery repair world than someone like me should have to do or I pay someone whose more qualified to repair my still new but defective lithium battery. I know I'm not the only person in this position. If Amazon is allowing battery sellers to sell lithium battery products to their customers that are represented as complete and ready-to-use; but with significant hidden cell imbalance defects and under the umbrella of buyer-beware then here is what I recommend. Whenever you buy a battery from Amazon, have it tested immediately. If it even remotely appears to be sketchy or underperforming, return it pronto, without remorse and let others know about your experience. So far, this has been the worse purchase I have ever made through Amazon. ... show more

  • Don't buy these batteries.
These batteries are NOT lithium batteries. Voltage regulator shows lead batteries when I connect them. Compared them to friends lithium batteries and even the weight was different. Cheap for a reason. And you can't return them.
