I like the shape and size of the light, but in my application, I needed to mount it under the soffit of my house, and it needed to fit up pretty close to the soffit. The design of the fixture has four grub screws, two on the top and two on the bottom that hold the two halves together and in order to access the two on the top, there had to be at least a couple of inches of clearance to allow getting an allen wrench into the top area to tighten the screws on the top. Plus there was a black cable about 3-ft long I guess to be used to connect it to power. I would have had to remove that cable to pig-tail the connection. May be used in some applications but was unnecessary in mine. ... show more

Electrician here. This is a commercial grade fixture. Of course, one can use it wherever one chooses. The unit comes with a weatherproof cord connector, which is considerate of the seller. Beside the wall mounted entrance, there are left-side and bottom entrances for half-inch connectors. There are also "ears" for wall mounting without an in-wall electrical box. The photocell comes installed on the right side, using that connector entrance; however, I'm pretty sure it could be moved to the left or bottom without too much trouble. I've uploaded a picture of the spec sheet for those who read such things. This is a stock item for me. I will update this review with an in use video when I get around to installing this fixture. “LED Wall Pack Light 120W with Dusk-to-Dawn Photocell 5000K 16200lm Commercial and Industrial Wall Pack 800W HPS/HID Equivalent Outdoor Flood Security Lights for Garage Warehouses Yard” This light is solidly designed and nicely constructed of quality components. The light uses Allen screws for assembly that go on the top and bottom of the fixture instead of screws that go into the front of the fixture like most lights of similar design. This means that you have to leave a gap of at least two inches between the fixture and your eaves in order to be able to reach in and tighten the Allen screws to fasten the front of the fixture to the rear portion of the fixture, once you mount it in place (Allen wrench not provided). Other than that, the installation is pretty straightforward, and the light works very well on the back of my house. My only other issue is with the claimed brightness of the light. The listing claims that the light will provide 16,200 lumens of light, which is fantastic. Since I don’t own a light meter, I can’t comment on how bright the light actually is. However, I own a couple of other 120 watt LED lights with very similar designs to this one, and they only claim to provide 12,000 to 14,400 lumens of light. In addition, the instruction sheet that comes with this light says that it only provides 12,000 lumens of light. So, what is it, 12,000 or 16,200? This isn’t a huge deal, but perhaps something you might want to be aware of when shopping for, and comparing various lights. ... show more

Ordered this LED Wall Pack Light 120W - with Dusk-to-Dawn Photocell - 5000K - 16200lm - Commercial Outdoor Security LED Light for my back yard lighting at night as I recently had the electric company to disconnect and remove light pole and light in middle of back yard. They have steadily increased the security light & pole "rental" over nearly (30) years and just recently raised price again. Also it was just a lower light output and not very bright (compared to this light). While figuring and looking over these outside security LED lights and comparing makes and models, designs, along with brightness and cost to operate per month, I chose those this light and ordered. This is a well built LED light w/cast aluminum housing base and tough acrylic lens. Installed it directly to outside brick wall (close to wiring) at roof line. It has a photo cell for dusk to dawn just like commercial lights, and this baby is bright!. Lots brighter than the electric company light. Now, anytime at night, I can see my whole back yard and anything/everything in it. It even shines on past my back yard to side of neighbors barn. I like the dual heat dissipating fins/drivers to get rid of any/all heat. This was a smart move because of brightness, electric cost, and having to mow & trim around that old ugly light pole for over 30 years!. It has an average life span of 50,000 hrs, and comes with a (5) yr warranty. Gladly give it a (5) star rating ... show more

    • Very Bright Light - One Point To Make

We ordered this for a shop/garage space that my son and I use and overall, it works with one point to make. First let me say that it is a very bright light that spreads out enough to illuminate a large area - unfortunately I didn't get any photos. Trust me when I say that this is a bright light that definitely gets the job done. With that said the one point that I want to make is that we took the cover off for our purposes. The cover acts like a diffuser but in the process, it also seems to inhibit the luminosity to a point that we prefer not having it on at all. Now depending on how a person uses it, this might not be an issue, but I did want to point out what we ended up doing.
