I'm using this lift with a Husqavarna YTH18542, it's a 42 inch riding lawn mower. The lift is easy to set up. Three bolt/nuts to put in place. Then maneuver the mower so that the tires are between the steel bars. Once the mower is in place you turn the long screw rod and it slowly lifts the mower. I used the hand crank and it wasn't difficult. I was working on a cement garage floor. I did put some of the packing material under the lift because I was worried the screws pointing towards the floor were too long and would leave scratch marks or worse. As it turns out I probably didn't need the packing material under the lift. I could raise the mower about 18 inches. That was high enough to clean under the deck and do blade repair/replacement if needed on the near-side blade. If I was working on the far blade I would have lowered the mower and reversed the position so that the blade I wanted to work on was closest to the screw rod. Turning the rod by hand was so easy that I didn't even think about stopping and taking the time to get the drill and a bit that would fit. The lift felt secure and I wasn't worried about it dropping. If you are worried about that then you could put a cinder block under the tire once it's lifted and that would give you some measure of safety. It should be noted that when you raise the mower the deck on the lower side hits the ground. Depending on your mower this might cause the deck to tilt at an odd angle. When you're done the lift folds up into a tight package for storage. One of the things I thought about while using this lift was how much torque this must be putting on the frame of the mower. I was lifting the back-end that has the transmission and the front-end has the engine. That's got to put a lot of twisting force on the frame. My mower is only a couple years old, I didn't see or hear any problems but if you're using this on an older mower with frame damage it could be a different story.

I wasn’t ready for how beastly this mower lift was. First off, it’s a straight-up back saver. I used to struggle jacking up my riding mower with sketchy car jacks or propping it on bricks (don’t judge me). Now I just roll this bad boy out, pop the mower on, and it’s up in like three minutes—no fuss, no wobble, and definitely no busted knuckles. That rotating sleeve thing? Genius. The way it grabs and holds without letting the mower slide off is solid. It even handled the uneven part of my driveway without throwing a tantrum. Plus, if you’re not in the mood for manual work, slap on your drill and boom—powered lift mode like a mechanic in Fast & Furious. Setup took me less time than brewing a pot of coffee. Legs lock in, everything clicks into place, and it’s light enough to move around but heavy enough not to feel cheap. The steel is thick, and the finish has that tough look like it’s down for years of grease and grit. If you’ve got lawn equipment that needs blade swaps or cleanups, this thing’s the real MVP. No more crawling under machines like you’re Indiana Jones. Just lift it, fix it, drop it, done. You’ll wonder why you didn’t get it sooner.

The jack is made of heavy-duty metal, it feels really robust. The bright orange color is easy to spot among my tools, and it matches the color of my lawn mower. The rotating sleeves and handle are smooth to operate. I use it to raise the front end for cleaning or checking the blades, it does the job. It works well with our mower. The manual included was clear, though I mostly figured it out by just looking at the parts. The jack is heavy, if I’m dragging it across the gravel part of our driveway I might ask my son for help. I wish it had wheels or something to make it easier to shift.

This mower lift is a helpful tool. Setup took less than 3 minutes—no tools needed. It’s made of heavy-duty alloy steel and feels super sturdy. I lifted my riding mower with no wobble at all, thanks to the anti-slip base and rotating sleeve (which also protects your hands). You can use it manually or with a drill, and switching between the two is quick. Lifts up to 1,200 lbs and fits most mowers—as long as they’re under 40” wide.
