I requested these 12" X 12" X 2" Sound Proof Foam Panels for Walls, 12 Pack Acoustic Panels Pyramid Soundproof Wall Panels as I’ve been search for an adequate solutions. I build a generator box to house my 30 amp inverter generator on the tail end of 2022 5th Wheel RV. I went with an inverter to provide some additional quiet if needed to run for longer periods. But was looking to dampen the noise also when operating in the my DIY generator box. I mounted the box on a hitch mounted cargo platform, repurposing a tool cabinet I used originally from a big box hoe improvement store. The foam are pretty much as described. I no more cut open the vacuum packed foam panel and the install you began to reshape. I have no concern if any deformed appearances. The vendo stated in the listing to contact them if there was a n issue with disfiguring. So relatively not bad. The are shaping to the pre-vacuumed state is acceptable. If some have more cosmetic appearance they are looking for then, I ould recommend taking it up with the vendor. For me and my application, I am thrilled. I have not started the application to the side wall of my generator box. so far adhesion appears to be good. We will see in a couple of days. I did clean and prime the surface areas with acetone. To remove atmospheric contaminants that have worked through the louvered vent openings and other openings I have incorporated in to the generator box. This are good acoustically foam pads. Sturdy and durable. The pyramid shaping is exactly what’s described. Form is good, a little sharpened for the packagingg, but seems to repose itself efficiently and quite effectively. I’m content. I little chemical smell front he vacuumed packaging. Honestly that should be expected. A little air time and It’s fine. The panels arrived well packaged and vacuumed packed. I wish each panels was individually packed so that it could be stored until needed or saved. But if you have your own vacuum bags and means to vacuum pack, then there is a esy and logical in solution. If you don't, just I have they will go into a plastic bag and just sit on he shelf until it/if is needed. Im imaging. Will vacuum the unused panels when I get a hold of th materials and means. But until then, it is, what it is. I am enjoying the quality of the these acoustical pads and the functionality and their appearance. They look and work as described. I do recommend for their overall value for quality and that they are fair regarding price.

Probably better for recording (they do cut reverb and echo) than for soundproofing and while most stuck some didn't. A little pricey, too, though to be fair, soundproofing can be quite difficult and expensive.

This sound absorbent foam is above average in quality. The 2-inch square points on the 12-inch tiles make the foam easy to cut to size and visually appealing. The adhesive on the back is better than most but could benefit from a thicker layer. Despite prepping surfaces thoroughly with 91% alcohol, the foam still lifts in some areas, necessitating the use of 3M spray adhesive for permanent installs. The foam arrived flat-packed in vacuum bags and quickly returned to shape within a few minutes of being unpacked. Initially, the foam has a smell, but it dissipates within a couple of days. Overall, this sound absorbent foam offers high quality and ease of use, though additional adhesive may be needed for long-term applications.

Picked up a few different packs of foam sound treatment for a home studio install, and they've all worked just as well as expected; install was fairly hassle-free especially with the addition of extra adhesive dots, and the room is now noticeably quieter. No complaints on this one specifically; but neither do I have anything particularly awesome to share. Five stars for competency.

Easy to install, and seem to do a good job of absorbing sound. But The adhesive is awful. In first two days three tiles have had to be fixed on the clean painted wall when the tiles just fell off. Need to buy a stronger adhesive, but ease of installation was why we picked these and that is a bust.
