30 panels were enough for a 1x2 meter door, with one left over, and portions for the door frame. Measure carefully, and use a sharp exacto or box cutter with a metal cutting guide for best results. Good sound reduction, but not nothing dramatic. Glue very sticky, but forgiving enough for a quick reposition when installing if necessary. White may show dirt and dust more readily.

You will need to order several of the 12 packs to cover a wall or else they do not really work like intended. My son ordered these at first because we kept fussing at him about the noise he makes when playing his video games or even talking on the phone. I have been playing since the NES and do not understand the volume level he requires to play games. I digress........He ordered ONE 12 pack and just randomly stuck them to his wall. Any sane person would realize this will do nothing for the sound, and when I ordered more to cover the wall I had to rearrange the tiles. When I peeled them off, paint came off with a few and some drywall paper with some of the others. 5 stars for the adhesion!! Once the entire wall was covered, they did work to deaden SOME of the sound. If you need to mute a teenager, order enough to cover all 4 walls, the ceiling, and maybe some of the floor if you don't have carpet.

The Good Color: The tiles feature a soft light gray hue that complements many office decors. The subtle marbled effect adds a nice touch without disrupting the uniform look across all tiles. Consistency in Size: The tiles align perfectly. I checked the level with each row and found that all tiles are consistent in size and shape. Lightweight: I covered the closet door in my office, so I appreciate that the weight does not affect the door hinges. Adhesive Backing: The adhesive is very sticky (almost annoyingly so), ensuring that the tiles stay in place. Acoustic Qualities: The most significant advantage of these tiles is the noticeable reduction in noise within my office. This was a primary reason for choosing these tiles over a traditional corkboard. The Bad While I am overall quite pleased with the product and have no major complaints, I do have a few minor observations (none worth removing stars): Bulletin Board Use: These tiles are a bit thin, so standard push-pins will protrude slightly through the other side. Although I forgot to take a photo, the protrusion is only about 1/16 inch. If you're pinning anything thicker than a few sheets of paper, it probably won't be an issue. However, to avoid wall damage, it's essential to test the length of your pins. Medium/Dark Fiber Swirls: You can tell these tiles aren't made with a solid color. On one of the tiles, there's a distinctive bit of white wool that mars the otherwise consistent color. It doesn't bother me much, but if you're highly sensitive to such details, it's worth noting. It doesn't show up well in photos, but every time I look up, my eye is drawn to it. Conclusion Overall, the tiles are a win for me, and I would definitely recommend them.

I've put these in a closet that is on the other side of a bathroom where the sound of the shower on the other side of the room feels really loud in the bedroom. With these up, the sound is much more muffled. You can still hear it but it's something you can now ignore rather than something that's too loud to ignore. This would have also been great for when I used to record my own music in my closet. This could also be good for adjoining bedrooms to keep sound down for different sleep schedules.

I like these "UNECHO 12 Pack 12" X 12" X 0.4"; Acoustic Panels". (I got these in the square/black version, BTW.) They are made of a very high-density, felt-type of polyester material, that looks very nice on the studio walls... quite "Professional" looking. Actually, I think I like the look of these, better than the foam wedges, that I also have in my Home Studio. (It would be nice IF these kind of things were made out of cotton, hemp, or some other natural fiber, but, instead, it's polyester. Plastic. Oh, well.) BTW, I tapped, and, dusted off some of the new panels, when I first removed them from the packaging, and, there wasn't really any loose fibers to be seen... (for what that's worth...) This kind of panel is, of course, to be used as an "Acoustical Treatment" on your walls, to help reduce flutter-echos, and such, in a Studio space... It's Not really for "Sound Proofing". (These probably won't reduce the level of sound that your neighbor hears. That's a different product.) BTW, I didn't use the peel-and-stick adhesive, on the back of the panels. Instead, I just used a single finishing nail, in the center of the piece, placed near the top edge... As I said, I got the square/black version, so, when I put a few of them side-by-side, they kept each other straight, and secure. Nice and simple. (I took a black Sharpie to the ends of the nails, also.) I put a few of these panels above the door, over the window on the opposite wall, and, on the wall behind the couch. (Just try not to drop the panel in the dust bunnies, down behind the couch, like I did, though, 'cause the dust sticks like Velcro!) Velcro Dust Bunnies... do you remember that Band? (And, they say that ALL the GOOD band names are taken!) ;o) That said, I really like these "UNECHO 12 Pack 12" X 12" X 0.4"; Acoustic Panels". I think I might get some more of the black ones... I do like the look of the Gray ones, too. Maybe for the living room? All in all, these are pretty nice Acoustic Panels. Not a bad price, too. Recommended.
