I got tired of the old clock I had clicking behind me and wanted a "clickless" or "noiseless" clock while I worked so I bought this. It is a very simple design and looks nice in the office. It is big enough to read easily across the room. It takes just one AA battery. It is super-quiet and that is great. Everything on the outside is made of plastic and it is very light. The only complaint I have is that I wish their brand name wasn't so big on the face of the clock. So, I got this clock and it seems pretty nice in a plastic sort of way. It is pretty well put together and very lightweight. The main issue I have is the overly large black and white company logo emblazoned on the face of the clock. Why do this? It’s not like it’s a Rolex or even Bulova. This is an elegant looking clock done in tones of gold. The outer edge practically glitters in the room light. The gold hands and numerals are easy to read against the white background. Truly the only thing that detracts a bit is the logo at the bottom of the clock. I have heard nary a sound from the sweep second hand. This clock says what it does in the description, it is 12 inches, it does keep time, it is super quiet. The rose gold is pretty too. Unfortunately there is a huge ugly corporate logo in the middle of it. Nothing subtle about it, I mean some clocks do this as well but have the decency to use tiny print so it's not obtrusive. This is a good-sized clock that is ideal for my children to stay on top of their learning with telling time. The rose gold casing is questionable at best and the price is less than desirable. Clock serves its purpose for learning time but should be half the price.
