I specifically searched for a weed whacker that was suitable for women. I found it. This is lightweight and I can hold it long enough to actually use it! Once I figured out the best angle to use, I whacked and whacked all over the yard. My husband had just mowed, so I went behind him and tidied up. So much fun. It's not terribly loud, and it does a good job of trimming. I love that it comes with two battery packs, so you always have plenty of power. My husband has an electric weed whacker, which is just too heavy for me, but he borrowed mine and really liked it. I bought the leaf blower too, and he has already borrowed that as well. LOL He was impressed with both of them. I haven't used it enough to know how durable it is going to be, but it seems pretty sturdy to me so far. Plus it is not huge, so doesn't take up that much space to store it. I am liking this brand, and I am actually looking forward to going out and whacking some more!

Love that i don't have to worry about having mixed gas, easy to operate, light weight and battery last longer than my middle size yard needs. Won't take out thick weeds, but easy for trimming grass and edging the driveway. Only wish is the go button could be locked to keep from having to push it the whole time.

Heavier than expected. Less powerful than our old ryobi. Gets the job done evenly and effectively, however. Mechanics allow the rope to be self sharpening—there is a reason why this kit has many replacements. Battery keeps up. Easy to use. Cordless.

I’m sorry. I don’t usually write reviews like this but it’s to be said after three times of trying with this weed eater. First of all, I should have known it was too good to be true when it was only $69 and had a coupon for $20 off. It seemed like a great deal and my current electric weedeater had a broken part so I decided to try this one fresh and new. Some good points. It’s easy to assemble and put together. However it seems like a kids toy when you’re holding it. Shorter than usual and no way to adjust the length like most weed eaters. Secondly I didn’t catch that it only has one “string” coming out. Whereas most all conventional weed eaters have two when it’s spinning. This one only had one. Then I took it outside. It seems way too weak with power, combined with the only one string. It barely cuts grass. It WONT cut weeds. It does a terrible job edging (see my picture after basically “sawing back and forth” every few feet and still it left my yard looking terrible). It’s simply terrible. Maybe a good gift for a child that wants to watch a parent using an adult weedeater but this thing is just not good at all. Additionally the battery runs down quick. I sure wish I could get my money back. But the thing is nasty with grass and dirt and I respect that I DID use it so I won’t ask for a refund. I really had hopes for this one. It just didn’t live up to the ad.

It does a decent job of getting rid of the pesky weeds and with doing edge work. While it is lightweight, it is a little awkward to hold. It's good for my size though since I'm short. I like the auto feed feature and how easy it was to assemble. However, if you need something for heavy duty work, the cord doesn't do much to help big and tough weeds. The quality is okay for what you pay for. Wish the batteries lasted longer. But for the price, it's alright.

I have been using this trimmer for a little more that a year. I have yet to change the spool. Incredible. Although I don't have a huge yard, this trimmer gets the job on less than a battery. I just trim grass so am unsure if it will cut anything thicker. I love the fact that it comes with two batteries so one is always on the charger ready to go. For the average home property that is an awesome trimmer. Best I've ever owned. No gas, no meds!

I am over 70, and a small woman. I bought this particular string trimmer, because it was recommended by other women and customers said it was a lightweight workhorse. It is! I have grass that is literally up to my armpits, and I couldn't find help, so I decided to take the situation into my own hands. Granted, I can't do more than about 20 minutes once or twice a day, but I have been surprised at what it cut through. And it's light enough for me. The batteries last well, and the fact that there are two is an extra benefit. And the bag of extra spools is so convenient. I am very pleased with my purchase!
