  • Great support and zero motion transfer Great support and zero motion transfer
Size: Full XL
One month in – really happy with this mattress. Hybrid springs + foam offers great support and comfort – my back pain has improved. Best part? I barely feel my wife tossing and turning at night. No sagging, solid edge support. Highly recommend.

  • Looks great and feels very well made! Looks great and feels very well made!
Size: Full XL
This mattress looks fantastic and feels really well made! The black quilted design, with the subtle stripe patterns, gives it a modern stylish look and definitely stands out in our room. The tufted top adds a plush feel, but it still has good structure and support. The black finish is sleek and elegant, while the mattress itself is incredibly comfortable! Over all, I am really happy with this purchase and would definitely purchase it again in the future! ... show more

  • Good overall mattress
Size: King
We got this mattress for our guest room and after having our kids over for the weekend we finally got good reviews and opinions. My daughter was not fond of the firmness, she is a bit of a princess. LOL however, oftentimes she sleeps on pillow tops which can be easily added to this mattress. Her rating was a solid four. Her husband on the other hand likes a firm yet contouring mattress and he was rather impressed with this. He is a side sleeper and it can form perfectly to his body he said. He slept very soundly and actually did not join us until 10:00 most days. The materials and construction feel good on this mattress, and we just had to give it a few days to fully air out and or up. It seems that this mattress would be good for a full-time sleeper and we are sure it will function well as a guest room mattress. For us a four-star still very high rating, so please do not let this discourage anyone from purchasing this mattress. If we could give it a 4.5 we would have as that was the ratings our kids gave us. Packaging was well done and I do not see it breaking in transport. I received this product for review. I was not paid for my opinion, I have not been contacted by the seller, and my opinion is my own honest opinion for better or worse. The only difference between my normal reviews and my Vine reviews, are I try to go more in depth out of courtesy for others and in respect of the program itself. I also still have to pay taxes, actually use the product, and spend time writing this. I borrowed this initial format from another vine program reviewer, but did not get his name so whomever you are, thank you!!! My impression overall of the vine program as since the sellers know we are free to leave our honest opinion, they believe in their products before putting them into the program!! I say this because I have appreciated the quality of products I have received and the few that I had problems with, I think could be better with minor corrections. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall Rating ★ - Product is in dire need of improvements before it is worth purchasing. I would probably not consider purchasing again. ★★ - Product does not meet expectations, needs improvement, and/or is not worth purchasing at the price-point. I might consider purchasing again with improvements. ★★★ - Product is adequate, as expected, and is average for it's quality, price, and features. I would consider purchasing again. ★★★★ - Product is above average and meets specific needs. I would purchase again. ★★★★★ - A fantastic, well-made product, that meets specific needs/wants, is expected to last, and I would absolutely purchase again.. ... show more

  • Extremely Comfortable Hybrid "Bed-in-a-Bag" Extremely Comfortable Hybrid "Bed-in-a-Bag"
Size: Queen
Let me start by saying I hate new beds. I don't like having to find just the right fit, softness, support, and comfort level, without having to sacrifice something along the way - no one does! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from this Zelbio Queen-sized "bed-in-a-bag," but I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort so far!! So... first of all, this queen-sized bed arrived in a long skinny box, about 12"x12"x however long a queen-sized bed is. It was double shrink-wrapped inside the box, and easy unfolded onto the floor (it looked like a bunch of octopus tentacles, because we had it upside down out of the box!). After turning it over, it laid out to about the size of a queen mattress, but was still pressure-wrapped in plastic. It began hissing all on its own, waiting to be released, as there must have been a small hole in the plastic, likely caused by our cutting the edge open (do be careful not to cut the mattress - they actually included one of those plastic slicer-dicers that is commonly used for opening mail, just to make the whole process easier - nice touch!). And then the moment came... one small cut to the corner of the compression plastic, and that bed rose up like a phoenix, to pretty much its full queen-sized glory (we got the 12" version), is right about 3 seconds flat! They say it needs to fill out over a day or two, thus why it's sitting on the floor of our new house in our guest room, but I have to say, it pretty much rose to queen-sized status immediately! And one of the best parts, this bed is certified free of approx. 250 VOC/odor-causing chemicals, which means far less off-gassing than other hybrid or foam-based beds. And... AND... it's latex-free (at least according to what info I could find on Zelbio hybrid beds), given that it's also certified as to its components (see specs in listing for exact certifications). As someone with a family who are all super-sensitive to odors and off-gassing, I have to say, after being out of the plastic for a good while, there was a slight noticeable odor, but nothing too offensive - it smelled like a new bed, but none of the typical latex off-gassing odors (since it's supposed to be latex-free... please confirm this for yourself if you are latex-sensitive!). So then came the moment of truth - no, I did NOT wait the 2-3 days for it to supposedly fully expand, it was pretty well expanded right then and there. So let me say this first... I have gone through SO many beds over the years, after having suffered repeated back injuries, some quite traumatic, lasting decades. It is nearly impossible for me to find something that is comfortable, but also supportive (medium-firm is my go-to), so when I saw this bed described as hybrid (foam and springs), and also being medium-firm, I had to try it. I haven't slept very long in it yet (it does have to finish off-gassing), but I have to admit, it was far more comfortable that I had ever imagined (yes, right there on the floor... so I suspect once on a platform or spring support it would maybe be even more so). It is soft and cushiony around the body - maybe not like an euro-style pillow-top, but not too firm, really just a decent amount of loft. But more importantly, it is supportive, from the head, through the shoulders, and definitely in the low back (my worst spot). I am a solid weight - not a lightweight, but not on the too-heavy side, but I do have a tendency to sometimes sink in the bottomus rumpus area into a bed. But I found this bed to be not only comfortable, but quite supportive throughout the body length. Same with rolling onto my side (I only sleep on my back and side, so can't comment for stomach-sleepers). Very comfortable, and surprisingly supportive in all the right places. A complete shocker for me and my back woes! It's nicely finished in a black cover with tan piping. Like most mattresses nowadays, it's only intended to be used facing upright (no flipping), with layers of foam (per the listing pics) overlaying the springs down below (the "tentacles" we saw before releasing it from it's plastic bag). It's a solid mattress, and is hefty to move around. Would've been nice if they'd included some simple sewn-in handles to help move it around, but it's still a quite nice mattress. If this thing continues to feel as comfortable (I'll circle back to update along the way), then this is one of those great value finds compared to so much of what is out there. I was pleasantly surprised, and can't wait to really try it out after a few nights of off-gassing... but again, very minor odor compared to most foam-based beds (and I have tried MANY, at least in stores or at friends' houses). Very impressed so far, right outta the bag (yeah, I said it)! ... show more

  • I love this mattress!
Size: Full
To be fair, I was in desperate need of a new mattress and you just don't know what you will get when it comes to a mattress in a box. But I am very happy to say this has been a great experience from delivery to set up. Not only did this mattress come NEXT DAY...but I was able to get it to my bedroom down the stairs by myself without issue. The box is large (I got a full) but not so large I couldn't manage on my own. If you have a small dolly that would be helpful, but I just dragged it. It came out of the box in a plastic vacuum bag, and comes with what looks like a letter opener you can use to cut the plastic without hurting the mattress. BE PREPARED FOR RELEASE! When you open this, it will POP OPEN! So I HIGHLY advise you make sure it is in a good position either in a very open space, or on the bed which is where I opened mine, so the part that pops ends up in the right space, and stay out of the popping range or you can get hit. I managed on my own, but I was pretty hyper vigilant where everything was and what direction the rolled mattress was set. If you need help, get help, and keep kids and pets away. Once it is opened, there is a smell, but it goes away. You want it to sit for 24 hours according to the box...but I used it after ten because I had nowhere else to sleep and I have had no issues. It is pretty firm, which I LOVE, I prefer firmer beds. I do have a memory foam topper though, so it softens it a tiny bit. I LOVE the black color, it just makes the mattress look sleek. It feels pretty quality made, and fits my bed perfectly. I am sold on this! ... show more

  • Firm but comfortable Firm but comfortable
Size: Queen
This mattress is wonderful. I was a little concerned that it might feel too firm because of the memory foam top, which I usually do not prefer. I normally like very soft pillow top mattresses, but this one turned out to be very comfortable. The coils are nice and firm, and you do not feel much movement if the other person shifts or moves on the other side of the bed. I ordered the queen size and the measurements were perfect for the frame. It is also fairly tall, which added a nice height to the bed. I like that the mattress has a darker color because it helps hide dirt or sweat marks a little better. The packaging was excellent. It arrived vacuum sealed and expanded back to its full size within a couple of hours. We still let it sit for about 48 hours just to be safe, and it was perfect. I also appreciated that the packaging included a small plastic cutter so you can open the wrap without risking cutting the mattress itself. That was a very thoughtful detail. Overall, it is a wonderful mattress and I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • A Good Middle Of The Road Mattress
Size: Queen
I remember regular mattresses. They came with box springs. And I remember water beds. Things are so different today. Memory foam is an awesome discovery. I can’t imagine ever using a regular mattress again. The addition of gel has helped reduce heat retention which was a problem in the early days of memory foam mattresses. I’m waiting for the built in massage units. This queen mattress is very attractive. It has a black fabric cover with pin stripes. It is attractive and it is the first black mattress that I have ever owned. Memory foam mattresses generally come in thicknesses of 6 inches to 16+ inches. Most of the commercial products fall in the 8-12 inch range. The thinner the mattress, the more it is geared toward a younger or lighter sleeper. The thickest ones offer significant support, pressure relief, longer life, and a feeling of weightlessness. I would consider this a mid-level mattress that is well made, visually attractive, and interesting in that it includes a “spring” layer that I’ve not seen or tested before. Imagine laying on a stiff board on your back. Your rear will hit the board, and the middle to upper half of your back will be in contact with the board, but the “small of your back” will literally be off the board. Probably behind your knees as well. And your neck. The board does not adjust to your body’s shape. The reverse of a rigid board would be a “too soft” mattress. Imagine a 2 foot thick mattress filled with soft down. If you lay on your back, every part of your body is in contact. It is so soft that your body sinks into the fluff. Odds are your body will take on a “V” shape with your bottom sinking deepest into the pad. I hope that makes sense. A memory foam mattress, in theory, allows every part of your body to have the same supporting gravity effect on the mattress so that you are not pushed up or dropped down. The firmer a memory foam mattress is the more of that “board” effect, offering a lack of pressure relief. The softer a memory foam mattress, the more you sink creating that “V”. A good memory foam mattress makes you feel “weightless” in that there is no spot on your body that is pressing harder on the mattress. I find this mattress to be comfortable but in the mid-range in pressure relief as it is a bit too firm for me. It might get less firm as it is used, but I can say that when it is first used, it is firm. Many of the top brands offer a foam density value which I can’t find for this product. Not a big deal but worth noting. I don’t know where to even estimate this mattress’s foam density value to be. I’d love to know. The gel infusion definitely helps with heat retention reduction. I did not experience any reflected heat at any time in my sleep and found the mattress comfortable with respect to temperature. This is important! One thing that is really neat about a memory foam mattress is that when pressure is put on one side, it is not “relayed” to the entire mattress. Have you ever noticed you can feel when someone lays or sits down on the mattress next to you. You feel the entire mattress “move”. With memory foam, that weight addition is almost unnoticeable because the person or pet will sink into the foam, rather than trampoline the mattress surface. The last item I’ll discuss is the smell, or “off gassing”. If you have ever broken the sealed bag on a memory foam product, you’ve noticed a distinct unpleasant “plastic” smell. The industry term for that is “off gassing” and depending on how the mattress is made, what chemicals and components are used, the smell can be anywhere from “very strong” to “barely noticeable”. Over time that unpleasant aroma does dissipate and most manufacturers recommend allowing memory foam mattresses to sit and “air out” for 24 to 48 hours. The description for this mattress details that the material used is CertiPUR-US certified foam and is tested for low gas emissions. I opened the mattress in mid-morning, and used it that night. I have not experienced ANY unpleasant smells emanating from the mattress. Again, this is important. The lack of residual smell made this mattress better than most I’ve tried. The shipping was very fast, and the product arrived in a 12 inch by 12 inch by 62 inch box. It was heavy. Very heavy. It arrived safely without any damage to the container or the contents. I am pleased with this product, and would encourage anyone looking for a new bed to give it a try. It is well made, and lives up to the memory foam mattress expectations. ... show more

  • Comfortable mattress but needs time to air out after opening
Size: Queen
I got this queen-size mattress to replace an older one, and it felt comfortable right from the first few nights of use. The combination of foam and coils gives it a balanced feel, with enough support to keep things comfortable - that said, I do like a firm mattress. Once it fully expanded, it filled out evenly and looked the way I expected. One thing I noticed right after opening the package is that it had a bit of a smell, which seems common with mattresses that are compressed for shipping. It wasn’t overwhelming, but noticeable enough that I planned to give it some time to air out before regular use. After leaving it uncovered for a while, the smell started to fade. So far it’s been comfortable for sleeping and seems to provide good pressure relief during the night. The surface feels breathable, and it hasn’t felt too warm during use. For replacing an older mattress with something more comfortable, this has been a solid choice, just plan ahead to let it air out before using it right away. ... show more
