This size works wells for most grills. It protects the pavers and driveway. Haven't tried on the grass as it appears to be too thin to protect from the heat of a solo stove. Don't have a wood patio to try it on, however, for a grill with legs I can see it working well as a safety net to catch embers and briquettes that manage to get out of the grill. ... show more

This is a good nat to protect your deck or patio from burns while using your fire pit. I have a solo stove which tends to get very hot with use. This may was the perfect ground cover to prevent burns. It left no marks or burn rings in the ground when I moved the pit.

This mat has been great for protecting my driveway and my patio when we use our portable fireplace, I'm still not convinced that it will work on the lawn, which is where I really want to use it. I've felt the surface beneath it and I think it still gets too hot for grass or artificial turf. This mat is great protection against popping embers, but I don't think it's a great heat shield from the fireplace itself. ... show more

So far this has been great. I place my firepit on brick pavers in my backyard and with this, they dont show any signs of issues. The material seems to be quality and looks like it has been standing up to the elements so far. It can get dirty pretty quickly and the ash will stick to the mat,but running it over with some water will quickly take care of that. Currently working on my deck so the plan is to move the firepit over there so we'll see if this will really protect the wood underneath it then. 🔥🔥🔥 ... show more
