Just installed today but so far it is a massive improvement from the stock Ram stereo unit. It takes some getting used to because it operates on Android by default and I’m using Apple car play, but it works well with an iPhone.

First the instructions are subpar at best. Not very detailed, pictures are upside down in relation to the text, and they do not mention connecting all the original vehicle plug-ins that you deattached so make sure to pay attention when disassembling the dash. My biggest complaint is the fact that the AC pop-up screen doesn't go away on my unit unless you turn the AC/Heat off; so I guess it's not a pop-up at all; it covers the lower quarter of the screen covering the portions of the map that shows your location, the bottom apps, and options in the various menus. I called customer service and they emailed me a video showing how to check the Cambus version and how to update; it teases that this is how you fix the AC screen issue but all it does is update the version and the screen pops up and stays the second you turn the AC back on. After the update i lost the ability to change some settings like changing the measurements to mpg, psi, and mph. I played with the various menus for hours and there doesn't appear to be a menu option to address the AC settings outside of rear mirror. I gave customer service until today to provide a resolution or it is being returned. In the video their Bluetooth and WiFi were both on atvthe same time; not the case for me. If I connected to WiFi it disabled the BT just for the BT to reconnect and kick me off the WiFi which stopped the download and install of the newer version. I had to turn the BT off in the menu and on my phone. The Android Auto works well and connects automatically; although I'm a bit leary of ZLinks. The subwoofer and audio still sounds nice, I retained all my original controls and they have all the additional features for my Limited edition (suspension control, tire jack mode, wheel alignment, entry/exit , etc..). I keptnmy original backup camera and microphone; both were degraded quite a bit, but not enough to return but thatvdamn pop-up screen has got to go!! I would say depending on your tools, lighting, and competency, it would take the average person roughly 1-3 hours to complete installation. I spent 4-5 hours looking for YouTube videos to fix the screen and scouring menus and settings options to fix the screen. I also don't like the Android Auto font size; it's so small I can see all of the DFW Metroplex on the screen; very difficult see your speed or the time. ... show more

Huge upgrade from factory. Screen is huge and looks so good. Now I have maps and basically a fully functional samsung tablet instead of just a stereo. No need to pay for uconnect or satellite radio. Installation was somewhat scary but just look up youtube videos on how to take the dash apart. Removing the original stereo knobs was the most complicated part. Included instructions are complete garbage so just use your head and hook up what the paper shows on the instruction photos. Test before you put it back together. It took me 3 hours and I needed 3 screwdrivers to do it. Overall this is an amazing upgrade for $300 ... show more

Great radio and very responsive. I was able to change it out easily. Only part that was troublesome was moving the ac controls to the new ac bezel. But, other than that it’s like any other radio all you have to do is plug everything in and maybe mess with the settings a bit. If you done radios before it’ll be easy if not you just got to try and copy a YouTube video. ... show more
