I love it. It's well-made, has good glass, huge focus range and it fits in your shirt pocket. Because it has a narrow field of view, it's not good for following a moving subject. That's what binoculars are for. There are cheaper ones, but that's because they are cheap. You get what you pay for.

This 10x25 monocular is a little wonder. Always in the pocket, you can't miss the opportunity. Image clarity and sharpness is exactly what you would expect for this price. Focus is very fine and precise with lot of turns, it's good and bad at the same time... but when you're used to, you focus very fast. The crazy thing is that you can magnify very close, I would say 1.5 ft. Another great feature is the adjustable eyecup. I don't know what I could ask more. For a small handheld monocular 10x is the limit, you must be used to. For beginner, or better confort and ease of use, go to 8x. If it was lost or stolen I would buy it again ASAP. ... show more

Great compact scope! Easy to slip in a pocket or small purse. Got it for my wife and I to bird watch when out on hikes or camping. Very easy to focus. Highly recommend!

This is a very compact, well made monocular with enough focus distance to go from 1' (macro-scope) out to infinity. I can take off my glasses and focus to correct my (nearsighted) prescription very easily. Being able to use it without glasses is a good thing, as with a 25mm aperture and 10x magnification, it has a relatively small 2.5mm exit pupal and not as much eye relief as I would like. Although the (smooth aluminum) "eyecup" is adjustable, even with it all the way down and pressed up against my glasses I didn't get as large of a FOV as if I took my glasses off and used it at the "halfway" setting, so while you can use it with glasses, I don't recommend it as you may be giving up a little field of view size. My only major complaint about the unit is the aluminum screw in/out eyecup. I would have much preferred a rubber one, even if it made the unit larger than the current 30-31mm diameter. Even though the edge is perfectly smooth and rounded, I didn't like holding it up right to my eye, because it felt too small and hard. [I'm planning on buying an aftermarket rubber eyepiece to put over the end to see if that will improve the comfort.] Everything else about this monocular was great. The view through the optics is top notch, the build quality feels very nice, both the focuser and in/out eyepiece motion is firm and smooth, easy to move but hard to accidentally bump out of place. Weighing in at a dense feeling 4oz, and just slightly larger than an inch in diameter and 4 inches long, this monocular is VERY easy to pack and carry. I have not tested their waterproof claims directly, but could not find any obvious gaps or holes where water could enter. Everything about the look and feel says quality to me. But the small exit pupal, low eye relief, and solid "eyecup" combine to make it slightly uncomfortable to use for longer periods of time. If you are prioritizing weight and space savings, and only plan to occasionally use it, I'm sure it's a great option, especially for people who don't wear eyeglasses. ... show more

I love this monocular. It has good focus and easy to dial in the distance you need. Easy to carry. My bird watching is much easier now. I have arthritis in my hands and wrist and this is easy and light weight.

I have a binocular similar to this one that I got at REI and they don’t make them anymore so I was always having trouble with the EYE hole being so small it was really hard to see anything through it… I finally found this one and it’s even better than my favorite from REI… It has a wide eye port with a great field of vision, it’s very well-made, and just all around excellent I have a vision impairment and I use it for hiking, walking, etc. when I want to look at something that most people could see easily… My only complaint is the cap for the bottom piece broke off the strap easily, but I managed to not lose it… The top piece strap came off immediately and I did lose that piece… Please make these with strip on both ends and maybe a little tighter fitting? ... show more
