  • Monocular telescope
Nice little monocular telescope. Lightweight and very portable. Use it for birding. As for the comments about the cap becoming lost, all you have to do is attach it to the telescope with the strap that comes with it.

  • High-quality product
The zoom, power and image is excellent and clear, size is good, but the angle is a bit narrow

  • Pocket friendly
This monocular comes with a carrying case, a cleaning cloth, and wrist strap. Inside of the carrying case is soft to help protect the monocular. If you look at my pictures, you will see the user manual. There's a setting to adjust for glasses or no glasses by twisting the end. Focus happens by twisting the middle. The clarity is great with this monocular and allows me to see much further than I expected. I like the portability of this, as I can slip it into my pocket and have aided vision for sporting events and concerts versus bringing binoculars, which can be a bit more cumbersome. The look and feel of this monocular is high quality. There's a green glint on the glass and the monocular itself is black besides the markings for adjustment. It comes pre-oiled, so adjusting the focus is smooth and effortless. It is still strong enough that it will hold in place once you let it go. ... show more

  • Nicely made monocular with compact design for easy carry
Very nicely made monocular. The optics seem to work well even in low light. It seems like the multicoating throughout is working well. I only noticed a few greenish ghosts at certain angles with a bright light source in view. All the pieces are very nicely finished and fit well. The covers are tight fitting and are thick enough to keep the ends protected. The focusing knob is smooth, if a little stiff to turn, and it takes a lot of turns to get from one end of the focus range to the other. This makes it a little slow, but precise to focus. I'm quite impressed with the overall focus range, as you can look at things far in the distance, but use this as magnifier for things as close as a foot. If I had any complaint it's just that the eyepiece can be screwed out to change the field of view. I think they're pitching it as something to help keep your eye focused. It's hard to tell because the manual is just one page basically and not particularly helpful. All I know is it decreases my field of view without increasing the magnification, so it seems pointless for me. I don't know, maybe you have a use for it. Overall it's a really nice and compact monocular that should be convenient to keep in a bag or console. ... show more

  • Pocket sized monocular does not compromize on image quality or features!
This small monocular focuses clearly from one foot away to literally miles away. The angular field of view is about 5 degrees, providing a nice view of medium-sized objects, such as large birds, from a great distance. The coated precision optics arrangement used provides a crystal-clear view throughout the entire focusing range. Because of the great deal of magnification, it is sometimes challenging to find what you are looking for, but once you get focused on it, you get a very clear view of the object. You do have to accept a trade-off of portability, which is excellent for this device, versus stability of the image, because it is hard to hold the monocular still enough to steady the image. This is to be expected for an object of this type. There is no mount to put this on a tripod. You can try to steady it against a stable object, such as a tree or a doorframe. But it is quite usable hand-held. There is a cap for the objective end of the device, which stays attached during use. There is also a cap for the eye end, but it just comes off during use, and there is not even a string to hold it on so it doesn't get lost. There is an eye cup that pulls out from the monocular's eyepiece end, which is very convenient. If you wear glasses, you would not want to extend this, but it is nice for those who do not. I am enchanted with this device. It will have a permanent place in my camera bag, and I can grab it and go on my nature walks. ... show more

  • Solid and lightweight monocular for your pack
Monoculars in general are great due to their lighter weight, portability and even ease of use compared to binoculars. Simply turn the “Focus Handwheel” to quickly bring in a distant object into clarity of view. Let me share my POSITIVES and COULD BE IMPROVED points for this product from OLIMT. POSITIVES: - Great clarity for viewing with easy adjustment of focus ring. Worked great during daylight hours. - Eyecup on the Objective lens that can simply be flipped down to protect the lens (and not lost). - Wrist lanyard is strong and conveniently located. - Rubber cap for the eyepiece. - Metal body for durability and optics protection. - Even the carry bag was a thicker bag for optics protection. - Eyepiece adjustment settings had thee levels which were more steady than a constant smooth adjustment. COULD BE IMPROVED - Eyepiece had a rubber cap but it was not a flip down cap which required running the lanyard through it to secure it. This works well but I would prefer a flip down cap like the one for the objective lens. This is a personal preference. This is a great quality monocular that would be a necessary addition to any outdoor pack. The key to a good monocular is the optics and this one worked very well and was clear and quick to focus. ... show more

  • Nice for a little impromptu star gazing.
Nicely made monocular telescope. Smooth operation and nice adjustment for people that wear glasses with plenty of adjustment range. A bit of color fringing especially around the optical edges. A better rubber eye cup would have been a nice addition. I would grade the optics at, "Low Average", quality. This is a nice item to have in your pocket as you walk out into the evening for a little, impromptu star gazing. This is marginally recommended. ... show more

  • Great Quality Monocular For My Glovebox
I like keeping this in my glovebox in case I need to get my eyes on something. From using it the images are clear and the size is nice and compact, everything I'm looking for in a monocular. The build quality is really good and the focus is spot on. This works really well for me.
