    • Book is Helpful for Finance 101
This book is just fine for use in a Finance 101 course. Each chapter has learning objectives that clearly state what will be covered. The glossary has much of what you might search for, the index is precise, and there is even a company index that lets you know where in the book you can find case studies and real-life examples of finance practices. Finally, chapter 3 on Financial Analysis and Planning is particularly helpful; it provides explanations AND complete formulas for ratios in financial analysis. Quick FYI regarding purchasing this book - if you purchase it NEW from Amazon directly as I did (and not a reseller), you are guaranteed to have the appendices for past and future values of money and annuities attached in the back of the book.     • Got eaxctly what I wanted
I needed this book for a course in college. The college bookstore were selling it for triple the price. The book was better than what I expected. The most makings It had were some writing in pencil, which was erasable. I'm so glad I bought it here. I purchased this textbook for a course in college. The teacher wasn't the best at explaining how to do the problems, but after reading through the chapters and doing the questions at the end, I was able to pass the tests with ease. I also purchased the study guide for extra practice: . The price is high and I probably would have gotten by in the course if I had opted for the previous version. It appears as though the questions at the end are slightly different from previous versions. However, I think the authors cleverly just changed the numbers in the questions. ... show more

Useful in conjunction with supporting material. As far as a learning tool, it was my primary source, but had better luck using the internet and other books in evaluating cases. Case problems were helpful. I do feel like the content of some of the chapters could have been better, but this decent enough for an introductory. ... show more

Its a text book so I will not review plot or characters. What I will say is that saving half the price of buying this at the university book store made it very interesting. Half the price and delivered right to my door without waiting in line for it.

I had to purchase this book for my college class. I knew that I would only need it for the one class and I did not want to pay $180 for a new copy from my school. I found this online and was thrilled to find it for half the price. Minimal cover and page damage. Previous owner made some notes along the margins and highlighted portions of the book.
