So I was a bit apprehensive at first. The tarp had an odd sticky filmy texture that I did not love, but I desperately needed a cover for my greenhouse before the rains ruined everything inside. This was the best option I could find in the right size, so I gave it a chance. We had a MASSIVE wind storm about a month later. Days of falling trees, power outages, and property damage. This happens here once or trice a year, but not usually to the level there is a full week of weather advisory alerts. This was the biggest wind-related storm warning I have seen since I moved here, though I am sure it still doesn't compare to places that get hurricanes or tornadoes. Anyway, about two days into this wind storm I looked out the window and saw my greenhouse once again bare to the elements as the tarp had blown off and was flapping against its (apparently insufficient) tethers, and over a pointy wire fence. I thought it was toast, and was angry about the wasted money and my own foolishness in not tying it down more securely. I left it there, on the fence, flapping in the wind, for FOUR DAYS till the high wind warning was over. I went out to assess the damage and found to my amazement that the tarp was not only still usable but entirely unharmed. Even the grommets taking the full force of the wind were perfectly fine. No sign of tearing or stretching out. No punctures or tears in the tarp body. Honestly it still looks brand new... except that the objectionable texture is gone! Few things get BETTER having gone through a wind storm, but I really couldn't be happier with it so far. At the time of this review I have had the tarp on for about four and a half months. I will update if/when the tarp does die on me, but considering it seems far sturdier than it's predecessor which made it almost 10 years, I think I won't be updating any time soon.

I got this to cover my chicken run instead of a dark tarp. They get lots of light now and are happy girls. We'll see how it holds up to our U.P. winter.

The media could not be loaded. Not so heavy duty but love the transparency of the tarp. Using them as temporary protection for day bed on porch. They have been through a couple of storms and did well but not sure about long term durability.

So I planned on using this as a way to winterproof my front porch, and keep my tropical plants outside in Long Island during the winter. Thought that it was relatively see-through, after getting a good portion up and taught, looking at it from the street? it looked horrendous... like the porch was under construction hahaha..... not what I was looking for. I ended up cutting this up to cover my bike, air conditioner and grill. It worked really great for those! I really just thought it would be more clear.

Purchased these to wrap our chicken coop through the winter. They let in light while keeping out the wind and bad weather. They also helped retain heat on sunny days when the temperatures were below freezing. The only complaint is that ours were not perfectly equal so when we tried to fold them the bottom side was longer than the opposite side. Not too much of an issue as we just taped them together.

I've tried several kinds of tarps to cover parts of my chicken runs from excessive rain while still allowing light through. These are the best even though the plastic has no fabric reinforcement. I haven't had to replace this one yet, while I've had to replace 3 of the fabric-edged cheaper ones in that time. I'll be paying the little more up front cost to replace them with these from now on.
