This hose lies between the heavy, green vinyl garden hoses of the past and the flimsy, collapsing hoses 'as sold on TV' of a couple years ago. This one maintains its shape while still being noticeably lighter than vinyl. It does seem built-to-last, with nice fittings and reinforcing strain relivers at each end. It comes with a quality spray nozzle, and IMHO that nozzle pushes this package into the "Good Deal" category. There are many types of garden hoses to choose from these days. The key is finding one robust enough for your needs without going overboard. I live on a long lot with a garden and fruit bushes, the furthest of which is just over 100 feet from the spigot. I'll need to fully unroll and re-roll this hose dozens of times a summer. This hose comes with a two-year warranty, and it feels like it will outlast that if taken care of. My experience tells me to try NOT to run over it with anything if possible. Definitely no cars, motorcycles, or ATVs. If you have freezing weather, drain the hose and try to store it above freezing. Those two suggestions will make any hoes last longer, and for this lighter generation, I'm sure it's even more important. If you're just watering plants on a porch, the really light collapsible hose is your friend. If you need a hose to regularly mix concrete, a contractor's-grade vinyl is the ticket. If you're a homeowner with gardens to water, cars to wash, and balloons to fill, this fits the role well. The 100-footer is the sweet spot for me. 150 feet is A LOT of hoes to handle, and the price per foot increases at 75' and especially 50'.

I replaced a 20 year old hose that has seen better days with this 100' hose and glad I did. The first thing I did was unravel the new hose and stretched it across the yard to remove the twist in it. Once all laid out I used it to water my new flowerbeds. The included 10 pattern spray nozzle worked just fine, no leaks so far, but I don't expect it to last too long. Not a big deal, I'll replace it later with a heavy duty unit. While watering the flowerbeds, I pulled hard on the hose and it did rub against the metal edging quite a bit. There's no damage to the hose at all. It indeed is rugged. Winding it up afterwards was easy and no kinks at all now. Love having 100' to work with, having a hose that's less than half the weight of my old hose and having a hose that will not burn my hands when very hot out. Looks like the hose is a winner and will last a long while. Solid 5 stars.

I just tried out this new hose. First of all I found that if you kink it and then apply water pressure the hose will stay kinked. If you straighten it out first it does resist kinking. The hose diameter is quite small so limited water can pass through the hose. I estimate the hose is about 1/2" in diameter.

This is a lot lighter hose than the typical PVC type garden hose. It is also less likely to kind and easier to store. I needed a long hose to get to my back and front flower beds and the 100-foot hose was perfect. This style takes up nearly half the space of the conventional type hoses and it even came with a nice sprayer. The connectors are solid brass rather than plastic which should last much longer than my other hoses have. There is also a hose protector at each end that keeps it from kinking at the spigot or sprayer which is a plus with this softer hose. I am very happy with the purchase and may purchase a shorter hose of the same kind for the other side of my house.

This product is exactly as described. It didn't kink at all, even right out of the box. It fits beautifully on my hose reel. The sprayer seems durable enough, although I definitely think the hose will outlast it. But the hose is absolutely well-built. What I like is how much lighter it is than a conventional hose, and how it is also very attractive. My old hose held on to grime so whenever I used it, it would make my hands yuck! I don't see that being such an issue with this one. Truly, I'm a fan of this newer breed of non-expandable "cloth" like outside hoses for this reason and I prefer them, so I recommend them to others as well.

I bought this hose as a new item, but received a used product in a box that was excessively duct taped. I should have recognized the angry tape “red flag” I was unraveling. This hose took quite a while to unkink and untangle the initial time I placed it on the hose stand. Used it the next day, and was hoping the kink factor would have worn off with it sitting out for a day. Nope. For the water to keep flowing through the hose, it required me to keep going back to de-kink the various areas while I was using the hose. Really disappointed that I splurged on what I thought was a quality hose that would last me a few years. What I received a used extremely kink-prone overpriced hose that is going to be a nightmare to use. Update: The seller was very kind and offered me a refund for this used hose. Very much appreciated their response and great customer service.

The hose is a lot lighter than the 10-year-old run-of-the-mill garden hose that I got from a local hardware store when I first moved. It kinks all the time and have to struggle to get it loose and straighten it out before I put them back on the hose rack. Surprisingly it hasn't sprung a leak but the sheer weight of the hose makes it difficult to use it more and with ease than this new hose I got delivered today. I really like how it is flexible and doesn't get tangled up as much as it did for my old hose. I don't throw out perfectly working things in the trash but I found a neighbor who needed a garden hose and sold him to take my old hose out of my front yard.
