I am returning the item since I think its too soon for my 3.5 year old to play with this, BUT, my wife and I were WOWed by this toy. We both spent like 30 mins playing with it and enjoyed it. I can totally imagine a 6+ year old kid spending hours with this and having fun. Good built, great quality and fun. Manual and instructions are a bit lacking but you can figure it out quite fast. Operating it is easy as well once you figure it out and kids can use it easily as well once you explain it to them. Mostly satisfied. The case that came in with has strong chemical odor. I had to let it sit under the sun but it wouldn't go away so I had to replaced it. Microscope itself works pretty decent. I am happy with the quality of the microscope compare to what I payed for. But it is not really 1000x. My child having lots of fun and so do I.
