The BNPS102 features a Plexigas front window, high-power 4Ω subwoofers, silver polypropylene cone, specially treated black rubber edge suspension and a 2 in. high-temperature aluminum voice coil. Overall dimensions are 13 in. H x 28-1/2 in. W x 14 in. D. The BNPS102 from Pyramid Car Audio features two 10-inch woofers in a custom-built band-pass box. This drop-in system is designed to create some serious bass, with a monster 1,000 watts of power handling and its bandpass design. I got an open box deal for $75. These 10’s bang hard in a crown Vic big body car so if you have a smaller car you will be pleased. I blocked off 1 port on each wide with cardboard and electrical tape because the box was “farting”. Blocking the 2 ports made the box hit much harder and cleaned up the bottom end. I had very low expectations but seriously unless you’re into Gucci stuff and like to flaunt how much you pay for stuff these work really well paired with an ignite r1600/1d amp they are very capable. Get them if you want to add some punch to your sound. I listen to literally everything from Gucci mane to trap to Tyler Childers country all types of death metal and progressive like The Contortionist and jazz from Miles Davis to Dizzy Gillespie and anything in between. i bought this not expecting alot but wow i was GREATLY disappointed. i bought it for my boat but even with a separate amp on this box, my four 6x9 speakers put out more bass than this box well i didnt have time to return it nor did i feel like the hassle so i just went to wal mart bought some cheap 10 inch speakers in a cheap box and it sounds great. now that i have done my experiment in this boat i will up grade all the speakers properly. as of now i have tried this box in my boat my truck and a friends truck and i could beat the side of the truck with a wet noodle and get more bass. ... show more

For starters the sub is bigger than I thought , The lights are awsome great design Idea .. BUT THE INFO (LACKS) to mention its set up strictly for a car/truck ... I bought it under HOME THEATER SUB WOOFER !! But hey no worries why go through all the hassle of sending it back , HERE IS WHAT I DID TO HOOK IT UP TO MY SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM >>>>>>> # 1 purchase a 2 channel or duel amplifier, cut off the AC adapter for cig lighter off of your sub woofer and depending on weather your surround sound system is connected with just a wire that gets pinched for connection or an audio/video plug in .. in case of A/V just splice your basic red and white plugs into surround sound and attach other end to the amplifier and a wire from that to your sub woofer , Now to get the lights to work I just took a riding lawn mower battery and hooked the wires to that with the other end connected with its origianal plug to sub woofer and poooof you have one mean system with blue lights with adjustable lights !!!!! These subs are 300 Watts RMS each @4 Ohms. I have them installed to a Onyx1.1500 Class D Amp with a 5 Farad Capacitor in my 1991 Buick Park Avenue facing to the rear end. The subs move a lot but this does not seem to correlate to much of a "feel" to the bass. I am curious if they would sound better in an open face box, sealed or ported I do not know yet, but would be willing to wager that it would not diminish the overall performance. I would not doubt it if Pyramid just placed some subs into this box without regard to the correct tuning parameters. The box itself is of fair construction, as it does rattle a lot indicating that it is not a thick MDF wood. For the price point I can not argue with the quality, but i think that I will try them in a different cabinet. Conclusion: At certain low frequencies this system hits pretty decent which suggests that the cabinet tuning is narrow. Most of the bass sounds somewhat "muddy" or "muffled". Not a tight or chest rattling bass that I have had with Kicker subs. I currently have the Amp configured as follows: Crossover:250Hz, Level:0.2V, Bass EQ:10dB, Subsonic:35Hz. Addendum: Just today one of the subs smoked while listening to "DJ Magic Mike - Make The Car Go Boom". Well it turns out it wasn't the car that went "boom". Will be returned for refund. Pyramid is cheap but not reliable IMHO. Good luck to those who buy. ... show more

I bought these with the purpose of just adding a little underlying bass to a mostly mid setup. They do the job perfect and then some. On the occasion I play a heavy bass song these two 10's perform. Be advised, when installing do not rob them of the power they need. I ran a 4 gauge power wire to a 1000w monoblock and a 1200w 4 channel. If you are just powering the subs alone 8 gauge power wire would be the smallest I would recommend. The box and neon light are also great quality, the box smells strongly of glue, but I got over that quickly. Everything from amps to wiring need to be right for subs to sound their best. If they don't sound good maybe something else is the factor. ... show more
