This review is for a 25 foot Stainless Steel covered pvc garden hose. These new stainless covered pvc hoses are really nice to use, they are very light weight, are nearly impossible to kink, and are easy to rewind when done with them. I have 5 hoses of this type now, as I am replacing all of my old rubber hoses with this new type of stainless hose because after trying my first one I was sold on their usability and sturdiness. Despite being covered in stainless steel, this is a very light weight hose, and is easy to drag around and use. The outer covering pretty much prevents kinks or pinches unless maybe you run over it with a car or something, I don't think even tying it in a knot would restrict the flow much, if at all. This hose has very top quality hose ends and fittings made from solid brass for long life, have long flexible rubber type strain reliefs at the ends, and they come with extra rubber sealing washers. There is also a roll of Teflon tape, and I am not completely sure what it was intended for, although I have seen people use that on the spigot when screwing on the hose, but I have never used it myself. I installed it like I usually do by just screwing it onto the hose bib until tight, and there are no leaks even without the Teflon tape. If I had to come up with a con for this hose, it would be one that these stainless covered hose all share, and that is that the hose gets very hot if left in the sun without water going through it, and so does the water that was left inside since last use, I mean scalding hot! I mean the kind of hot water that burns something fierce if it gets on you, so keep that in mind, especially if spraying people or pets without checking the water temperature first. I live in Southern Arizona where it gets super hot, and all hoses do this, but the stainless ones just a bit more. When I need to pick it up after it's been sitting in the sun with no water running through it I just grab it by the nozzle itself, which is covered in a rubber type coating, and by the time I am ready to coil it back up after using it, the water has cooled down to normal temperature, as has the outside of the hose, so it's not a problem as long as you are aware of it. I really like this hose, and I believe it is a good deal on an very well made hose. I give this hose 5 Stars, and I can recommend it for purchase.

Stainless steel garden hoses are becoming more common, and I prefer them to the regular rubber type, even though they are generally slightly costlier. They are noticeably lighter in weight than heavy-duty rubber hoses, but, unlike the lightweight garden hoses, are impossible to kink. They don't leak, and, being stainless steel, shouldn't rust or otherwise corrode. This is a good example of the type, and, it comes with the rubber gaskets you need for a leak-proof connection to your hose bibb or other hoses. As expected, I got no leaks; the hose performed flawlessly. It does have plastic standoffs at each end to prevent excess force from harming the hose where it's fastened to your hose bibb, and they are somewhat secured to the actual brass fitting as the better hoses do. This makes them partially helpful for getting a good grip so you can hand-tighten the connection more easily. but they don't seem to be completely molded onto the fitting as some others are, so they don't fully hold and you still do have to be careful to securely grasp the brass fitting. It's good that they are there though, and they could be easily improved for a future version.

These stainless steel garden hoses have been all over my product list, they seem to get pretty good reviews, and I needed an extra 25' hose, so I thought I'd give it a try. The surprise is that they're very lightweight and flexible. They stretch a little bit, and they won't kink. My reservation about these is aesthetic - because they are so bright and shiny, they stand out in the garden, as if you brought a plumbing project out into the yard. They also seem narrower than a conventional hose, although about the same diameter as those flexible hoses that coil up by themselves when you empty them of water. I'm using this tucked behind a couple of shrubs, where it is out of sight. It does seem very durable.

Nice metal hose that should never crack, rust or cut off water because of a crimp. The hose is 25 feet long and wraps up easily to hand on the side of the house. The ends of the hose fit on the outside wall water housing faucet as well, the other side, connects to a power sprayer or garden nozzle. Why weren’t these metal hose vented in my childhood!! The hose has a nice banding of plastic so it doesn’t get hung up at the waterspout from the house. For the price, the hose looks like it should have cost a ton more than it did. The metal hose is apparently harder to freeze, and quicker to warm up during the days. My only concern is how very hot the metal might get in the summer. If too hot, the water coming out will also be way too hot. My old green hoses got too hot, as well- his is much nicer than my cracked and crimped up green hoses. You get what you pay for 0 I can hear my dad saying this to me a hundred times. This hose is no exception!

Being a homeowner I have had all kinds of garden hoses over the years. The first one I had was made of rubber. It was cumbersome and heavy but lasted a long time. It was also expensive. The next one I had came with a latex core under a fiber skin. It was lightweight, and easy to store because it was expandable. It was inexpensive but also didn't last very long. The latex core over expanded rupturing the fiber skin and the hose started leaking all over the place. Out of the box, this garden hose came with 3 spare rubber washers and even a roll of Teflon tape. How thoughtful on the part of its manufacturer. It's the perfect compromise between the other two types of garden hoses. It appears to have a latex core but that latex core is protected by a metal and not fiber skin so it should last a long time. Even with its metallic skin, it's very light. It's also very compact and does not require a cart like my other garden hose which added to its cost. Lastly, thanks to its metallic skin it's kink-free. Truly a superior product in its category!

I have now trashed three of my old rubber hoses and replaced them with these stainless hoses. They are so light and easy to handle, and they just never seem to tangle. I'm sure if I put them in the right configuration and hauled hard enough I could break one, but in normal everyday use, they seem to just slither out of the tangle without any effort. The hose is listed as a "3/4" connection, but the hose itself is a 1/2" hose - which is fine for me, but just be aware it's not the same diameter all the way through. All these stainless hoses have a liner, and it is to be seen in the future how well that liner holds up, but I have used my others now for two months, (I live in the South) and I have been very pleased. Even when combined into a 50' hose, it is still light and easy to carry, and it just doesn't tangle. These stainless steel hoses are sturdy, light, easy to handle and priced right. I recommend them.

After used to having to buy heavy new synthetic hoses every other year when the split, I'm really loving these stainless steel hoses that coil up so small and light, and are kinkless too. This artisan hose seems like good quality. It comes with extra gaskets to prevent leaky connections, and I can seamlessly screw it onto another brand of stainless steel hose that I have when I need a 50' length. I did take off 1 star because this one doesn't come with a spray nozzle even though it sells for about the same price as another brand I recently got that came with a super nice nozzle that I love.

I needed to replace several hoses and saw this hose style in person, so I took a chance. The metal is very strong. I accidentally stepped on it and didn't distort it. Although I didn't try very hard, I did try to kink it and couldn't. It seems to unravel very willingly and is very easy to maneuver. I don't love hose reels, so I took a flower pot, drilled a hole in one side and fed the hose into it. I wind it in the pot and out the top. The hose naturally curls around the flower pot as I put it away. For 2 15 foot lengths, it's faster to manually place in the pot than it was to wind my old hose that used to twist and kink and knot. I do hope they'll last for years. Time will tell, but I'm hopeful. With a quality hose, I generally see 5-10 years as I blow them out before the winter freeze (zone 7) but I leave them outside in a protected area. Hope these last at least as long.
