In summary, this sub is good for a little bit of bump when you can’t use a trunk or don’t have enough room. In my case, I added it to my Chevy Avalanche, which has a truck bed rather than a trunk. It has Bose speakers in the doors, and while they sound good, I wanted a bit of extra bass. This speaker does that for me. It doesn’t disturb my neighbors when driving by, but it does sound good inside the cab. There wasn’t enough room to fit it under my driver’s seat, but that’s partly because it’s mechanical so there are motors and gears underneath. However, there was plenty of room under the back seat behind me. So much room that the speaker does slide around a bit. There are brackets included that can be used, but I didn’t want to drill into my flooring. There are some adhesive Velcro strips you can use instead. The trickiest part of the installation is getting the power cord from the battery to the cab. It attaches directly to your battery and then goes through the firewall into the cab where you run it under the trim/carpet. If you can find an existing cable entrance, then great. Otherwise, you may need to drill through the firewall. Be careful where you are drilling and be sure to add a sealing grommet to prevent water from getting in. ### Technical stuff ### I was not able to open the unit. I removed all the screws but still could not separate the two parts to get a look inside. Maybe it was glued together to help keep it from rattling? Regardless, I was not able to pull out the speaker and get a closer look. I also wanted to see if there was protection between the speaker and the amp but could not tell from the outside. So, I had to measure the speaker as best I could from the outside. Doing that showed it’s not a 10” woofer. It looks closer to an 8”. It claims to have an 800W amplifier, but that's unrealistic for this type of setup. I don’t have a meter to test it officially, but if I were a betting man, I’d say it probably puts out around 100W. But that’s just a guess. I like that it comes with all the cables. Granted, the power cable is likely only 16 gauge of copper. There’s a 60A fuse on the power wire, but only a 25A fuse on the amp—the math doesn’t quite add up. I upgraded my truck to a Kenwood DMX7706S receiver, which has RCA connectors. Because of this, I didn’t need to mess around with the high level converter or connectors, so I’m not able to comment on that. I can confirm the unit is 13.9" L x 10.2" W. It is about 2.7" H if you include the skull up top. It has a controller so you can adjust the gain without having to access the back of the speaker to do so. For instance, when my wife is with me, I turn the bass gain down since she’s not a fan. Unfortunately, I didn’t see a way to turn it off with the remote, just lower it. Also, unfortunately, the controller doesn’t have a mount or other way to attach to or hang from the dash like past speakers I owned did. It sits loose so you must grab it, which is less ideal. Especially when driving.

This under-seat subwoofer definitely works, and it was easy to install—which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my husband installed it before I could get pictures, but it does look like the product images. The slim design fit perfectly under the seat of my Jeep, and the plug-and-play setup made the whole process pretty straightforward. It also feels durable, and the build quality seems solid enough to handle road vibrations without any issues. The sound is decent, and it does add some noticeable bass to the audio, but it doesn't really deliver the "cinema-grade" experience that's advertised. If you're expecting deep, room-shaking bass, this might leave you a little underwhelmed. It fills out the sound nicely but doesn’t hit very hard or offer much in terms of dynamic low-end performance. That said, you get what you pay for and this one does have a low price point. The LED ring is a fun touch and adds a cool visual element, but that’s more of a style perk than a functional one. Overall, it's a good entry-level upgrade if you just want a little extra bass without taking up a lot of space or going full custom. It works, but it doesn’t go above and beyond. Great for mild improvement, but not a game-changer.
