  • Upgraded the 23yo Panasonic stereo in my 1997 4Runner
Size: 7.11"
It’s definitely time to upgrade the 23yo Panasonic head unit in my 1997 4Runner and I am so glad I went with Atoto X10 7” which is a perfect fit and maintains the OEM look of the dashboard. It is my first time trying the Atoto brand and I am definitely impressed with the screen quality and the responsive touch screen. Audio quality was night and day from the old head unit that sounded like a transistor radio. It sounds so crisp and clear now that made it seem like I upgraded the speakers too. Audio quality is great wether I am listening to radio, Spotify, YouTube or Netflix! It also came with the back up camera with recording but have not figured out yet how the recording goes. Also even if i enable the reverse guidelines on the setting it still does not show. Installation was easy as i was able to use the existing wire harness. I just needed to re wire my power antenna. It has multiple input options such as HDMI, SIM, micro SD and multiple USB ports. Also can do OTA updates which is big plus. Wireless Carplay connects fast enough without any hiccups. Overall this Atoto X10 although more expensive than other made in China head units looks and feels well-built and is definitely in the high-end series. Very happy and satisfied with my upgrade. ... show more

  • Atoto X10 Floating Head Android Based and Great Quality!
Size: 10.11"
First and foremost, I'd like to extend my gratitude to Atoto Customer Service in helping with my installation of this product. This is my first Atoto stereo head unit. My 2010 Dodge Ram had a Basic OEM Double Din radio (No GPS, No Cameras etc.) so after doing some research I upgraded to the Atoto’s X10G110E X10 Android floating head unit. The X10 caught my attention due to its running on Android 13 with the Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of onboard storage. The unit also supports optional external storage through USB and an SD card slots, providing more than enough space to meet my needs. What really caught my eye was that the unit features a dedicated external USB input for recording footage from the front and rear-view cameras to an onboard DVR which is a significant upgrade since I didn’t have any cameras with my existing OEM unit. This really showcases the versatility of the X10. (Note: cameras are sold separately by Atoto.) The X10 with its Android-based system makes it feel like I have an Android tablet in my vehicle which is a completely different platform than I was use too with my OEM unit. The X10 boots up in seconds and the sound quality without a high output amplifier is superb. The unit allows for extensive customization of eq presets, enabling you to achieve higher volume while maintaining exceptional sound quality Since this was my first Installation of one of the Atoto units, I found it to be straight forward since Atoto uses a standardized power plug all I had to do was purchase the Double Din compatible installation kit and wiring harness adapter to complete the installation. The installation was a breeze even with a couple questions I had and contacting Customer Service via email and being provided the answers to my questions well within a 24-hour time frame. As of yet, I haven’t had much opportunity to use the AI chat function, but I’m eager to try it out soon. It is an intriguing feature, and I’m curious to see how it will enhance my driving experience. I'm highly satisfied with the X10 unit from Atoto. If you're in the market and looking for one of the best Android-based head units, this product is an excellent choice! ... show more

  • A superb unit that has all the bells and whistles
Size: 7.11"
First the good stuff: this is a really great Android-based car stereo with many fantastic features. It has a SIM slot and micro-SD slot on the front panel - I think this one of the very few offering that, if not the only one I've seen on Amazon. This means I can change the SIM or the memory card easily and not have to pop the dash panel off and pull out the stereo just to do this (many other models have these on the back only) or run a cable dongle to the glove box. It has a row of physical buttons on the bottom which are convenient and don't take away from screen real-estate. These offer common function such as "home" and volume. The X10-R2 has GPS, wifi, 4G cellular, front-and-back *recording* camera support. There are 2 USB ports in addition to the front micro-SD, one for camera DVR, and one for music/files. I added both cameras, and they work very well. It supports Android Auto and that works perfectly. One of the best features Atoto offers is over-wifi updates. I am surprised that all other brands don't also offer this, but in my research it seems to be a rare feature. Definitely a time-saver. I have my home wifi set up, so from the garage I just run the "update" app and it does its thing - really nice! I already installed updates 3 times, so Atoto is actively developing/fixing the software. I also like the steering-wheel remote (sold separately) which has a ring-style volume control like a tiny steering wheel kind of thing, very easy to adjust with my thumb. The settings and EQ application allow you to dial in the perfect sound, and options just the way you like it. The layout is very customizable and easy to change. Now, some of the negatives I've experienced: the music media player sometimes just locks up, no sound, spontaneously. If I change to the radio app there is sound, and if I restart the stereo it comes back ok. Hopefully Atoto will figure out a bug fix for this. The weather widget didn't work at first, I had to remove it from home screen and then re-apply it. Now it seems to work fine. The Google Maps widget many times just displays a blank screen, but touching/clicking on it to pull up full screen works ok. So, there's a few kinks to iron out. For the most part, though, everything else works great. Atoto makes a pretty big deal about the built-in AI bot, but I find it useless. It always says it can't do what I ask, such as increase volume, navigate to the gas station, etc. Sometimes it triggers even when no music is playing and no one said anything. Strangely, sometimes it won't respond at all to the key word even when there is no noise, nor even after I press the remote voice-activate button. I think it will eventually get better, but this early attempt isn't so useful. They also have two separate keywords, one for chat-GPT general questions (what's the weather today) versus control of the unit (turn the volume down). I won't be using the AI for now, it doesn't work very well. Finally, many things on the screen are tiny and hard to touch or read. This is probably an issue with the Android system itself, but I think its something the software developers need to address. My old 2005 Kenwood stereo was easier to use in some ways because the screen was designed specifically for cars, whereas these Android units are obviously re-purposed tablets and some of the apps and screens show that. On a 7" screen, I want the text and controls to be bigger and easier to touch. One more nit-picky thing: my unit came bundled with a rear camera, but that one doesn't display guide-lines. This means it's hard to know where the edge of my bumper is, so I find that I have to look over my shoulder to make sure of where an obstacle is. I don't know if this can be fixed with software updates or not, but kinda disappointing. Apparently there is an Atoto HD camera that does have guidelines, so this might be a camera's built-in capability and not from the stereo. I installed this (X10-R2) in a 1999 4Runner Limited. It fits perfectly, works with the power antenna, and was pretty easy to install. I purchased a 4Runner wiring harness (about $12) and connected it to the Atoto harness, making install very straightforward. Now my old "grandpa" 4Runner has all the latest tech, from cameras to GPS, wifi and bluetooth, Android auto (phone calls, navigation, music) and 4G data connectivity. Oh, and I also got a bluetooth OBDII interface hooked up, and now can view and manage the car's diagnostics, RPM, etc right on the screen - very nice. ... show more

  • Great upgrade to add wireless CarPlay and big screen
Size: 10.11"
X10. 1/2026 Update after few months: Sound is good with equalizer function. There are -user equalizers you can save. I use 1 for music and another for talk podcasts. 10” Floating screen looks good in 2010 CRV. Car didn’t have steering wheel controls and the remote bundled with the X10 works well. I really like its spinning ring for volume up/down. Apple car play works with my iphone. Phone calls reception are clear. Display is clear and bright. I have brightness turned way down too. I haven’t noticed any lag. Support from Atoto has been very responsive. They get back to me within a day or so. ... show more

  • ATOTO X10G110E in a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500
Size: 10.11"
I just purchased and installed an ATOTO X10G110E in my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. I had installed a very nice Kenwood about 10 years ago and it still sounded fine, but due to it's age it was missing features I now wanted, i.e. no Bluetooth, no Apple carplay, etc. So I decided to upgrade. I really like ATOTO products. This is actually my fourth ATOTO head unit that I have purchased/installed. I have installed two ATOTO P6's, one in my 1969 VW and one in my daughter's 2009 Toyota Corolla, and, I installed an F7 in my dad's chevy truck. All of them work well, sound great, are responsive, and I really like the backup camera feature in each instance. So I'm really happy with ATOTO. I purchased the X10G110G a few weeks ago and it was a similar install as the others. So far, here are my thoughts: 1) I was worried that the "floating" screen would bug me since it's outside of the dashboard. I used the lowest height settings to leave as much clearance as possible for my heat/AC vents. I'm finding that I don't really notice that it's not integrated. It only protrudes about an inch from the dash, and I guess if it really bothered me I could modify the installation brackets and push it back further, but at this point I don't mind it at all. 2) This unit is VERY VERY FAST. Basically turn the key and it's on. No wait at startup. However if you do a full restart of the unit it will take about ~20 seconds to fully come back up. The screen is beautiful and clear, and moving between screens/apps is instantaneous. ApplePlay and Maps work perfectly. 3) I bought an ATOTO AC-4450 Bluetooth OBDII/ OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scanner/Scan Tool so I could get real-time information from my old truck's OBD2 port. It's fantastic. I can open Torque any time for my truck's vitals. If you get one, note that you have to connect it to Bluetooth II in order for it stay connected while your phone is connected. 4) I had an ATOTO AC-44P2 1080P USB DVR On-Dash Camera that I didn't use on a previous install. I could never get it to work with the X10 so I ended up buying aAC-FHD02DV FHD 1080P On-Dash DVR Camera and that one works perfectly. If you get a "signal error" don't panic, just go into your camera settings and change it to "recording camera" and it will work. (I learned that from experience. :) ) 5) The system update is good in that it will connect directly to your WiFI. Note however that it takes ~1 hr to update. And, the update failed for me the first 3 times. Fourth was successful, so be patient. Or, I saw on line where someone had contacted support and got the update file from ATOTO, so you may want to try that if yours fails. 6) I absolutely love this head unit but I wonder why they designed it so deep in the dash. My previous ATOTO units were basically flat installs with a ton of space behind for wiring. This one is the same formfactor as a 2 DIN with a CD ROM. Not a lot of room behind for the wire harness and other cabling. It fit, but was a bit squishy. 7) The sound quality is AWESOME. I was replacing my old Kenwood so I wanted high audio quality as I have an external amp and subwoofer. Be aware that you will probably need to tweak your external amp settings with this unit. I had to way back off my gain and boost on the amp, but now the sound is just amazing. Love it! 8) ATOTO technical support is great! I had some questions during the installation process and they were super responsive and helpful! Bottom line, I would definitely recommend this head unit if you're looking for fast performance, a big beautiful screen, and wonderful sound! ... show more

  • Updated my system and love the extra oomph and features!
Size: 7.11"
Recently upgraded my car with the X10, and it’s been great from installation to using over the last several days. This unit offers a great blend of features and customization options and sounds great in my 2005 Jeep Wrangler. Installation was easy and I was able to use my previous wiring harness as it used the same pin setup (I was upgrading from the Atoto F7). User Interface & Responsiveness The interface is easy to scroll through and very responsive - if you have used Android, you will know how to use this head unit. The display brightness is adjustable, with an auto-adjust feature and a night mode connected to my headlight usage. It also has an HDMI port which is fun if I wanted to plug in a Fire Stick or Nintendo Switch just for fun. Also, the "DriveChat AI" is pretty fun to use when connected to the internet and you can create your own wake words, so its not "Alexa" or "Hey Google". Features & Performance This system has plenty of features, including multiple USB inputs (one front, two extensions in the rear), standard RCA inputs/outputs, and the ability to record from both front and rear cameras if you install them. The system startup is super fast, and OTA updates were easy to run from my home wi-fi. Just hop on the network and ran the latest updates, waited for a reboot, and good to go! The sound quality is an upgrade from my S7 model and I am glad to have made the change. I like the extra oomph in this unit. Everything comes through sounding much clearer and can push the limits a little more than in the past. Thinks I really like: Smooth app performance and fast startup - easy to navigate and responsive Multiple input options (HDMI, SIM, Micro SD, different audio outputs) Easy to do OTA updates Wireless Android Auto (this is the key necessity for me!) I was able to use my previous atoto remote to control the new unit Support is awesome! I was confused about "default volume" settings and they clarified within 24 hours! Things to understand ahead of time: At it's base, this is an Android head unit, that also runs Android Auto as an app. The main home screen, and google apps that can run from the home screen, are all based off of the main Android OS, and needs to have it's *own* network for data. Either through it's own SIM card, or through creating a wireless hotspot from your phone. While I have Unlimited Verizon wireless which works once wirelessly tethered to Android Auto (Waze, Spotify, etc), if I were to use my phone as a hotspot from the main dashboard, I would not have unlimited data. So homepage maps, weather, apps (youtube, games, other apps, etc) will need to be directly connected to a network. Works great in my driveway, but not once I leave. I only get tethered data from within Android Auto. Conclusion Overall, the Atoto X10G2A7E-R2 feels really well-built and has plenty of features that offer much better audio quality to my jeep, a smooth interface, and easy customization options. Glad I upgraded! ... show more

  • Awesome Android 13 based head unit!
Size: 10.11"
This is my third Atoto head unit. I started with an F7WE and then upgraded to an S8 Premium to be able to have Android apps native. The F7 is still going strong in my son's car and the S8 will be moving to my project FD RX-7. I was interested in X10 due to the move to Android 13 with a stronger processor and higher RAM and storage capacity. I opted for a 10" screen as I had seen one in the wild and realized I could make one work with my RX8. So far, the X10 has been a large improvement over the S8. While I do not know the voltage of the preamp connections, I know that they are higher than the S8 as they drive my factory Bose amps/speakers with more headroom, able to achieve higher loudness, while maintaining a phenomenal sound. Another major improvement over the S8 for Android Auto is that the X10 can control the voice prompt volume separately from music. This is something the F7 was capable of so I'm glad to have that capability again. Installation was very straightforward and went without any gotchas. The best part is that Atoto uses a standardized power plug in the same way Pioneer has, so I didn't have to redo my wiring harness for the new head unit. The plug in my dash is the original F7 plug which worked perfectly for my S8 and now works for my X10. If you are looking to upgrade this definitely makes it much easier. I have not played with the AI chat function much as of this review. It is an interesting feature but I'm curious how useful it will end up being. I'll let you know how that plays out in a 6 month update. There are only two thing I wish were different with this device. I wish it had a bit more flexibility in its depth adjustments. I'd love to have it a half inch to an inch closer to the dash. I also wish they would have colored the RCA preamp outputs in the standard car audio colors (white, gray, purple, and green). They used the standard red and white with little stickers to indicate front and rear. Those are really just nitpicks though. Overall, I'm very pleased with the unit and its performance and if you are in the market for one of the best Android based head units on the market, look no further. ... show more
