I have been using the switch for a couple of days and I noticed and improvement in the download speed compared to a different unit that I was using, about 30% faster. Not sure if it will stand the test of time, but let's wait and see. Very affordable price, it's a mini switch, so it is easy to place in a tight space.

My one problem with this switch is that there is an internal green led that flashes rapidly as soon as it gets power and it's fairly bright. It does this with or without any network cabling plugged in. And that is why I only gave it 4 stars. Because I have it in our bedroom lol Great specs for the price but I don't have my 10G fiber run yet so haven't really been able to test it.

I liked everything about this except, I should have bought the bigger one. I have more to plug in. I don't regret getting the smaller one because I was able to test it before spending the whole budget. I will definitely purchase from this brand again. My internet is screaming fast now.

The switch was originally working perfectly for me connected with 1 SFP+--DAC-->SFP+ RJ45 module, and the rest of the the RJ45 ports filled with CAT6 connections. Was getting 2.5 gigabit speeds on iperf. Then decided to connect the next SFP+ port via DAC to an SFP+ NIC. Immediately after there was a burning smell. Sure enough, the switch fried not only itself, but also a NIC on my PC connected via a CAT6 cable. The switch can power on still, but attaching any SFP+ cables will immediately shut it off now.

I don't often write reviews, but I was really impressed with these. With the discounts and what not, these were dirt cheap for 4 port 2.5gbps Switches. I have an almost completely UniFi setup at home, but wanted to add some 2.5gbps ports to my network without spending $500 on an Enterprise 8 port switch. I was able to buy 2 of these, and connected one to my Main UniFi hub to the SFP+ port to one and another in my Son's room to share his desktop and his PS5 (he only has one ethernet port in his room). iPerf from his desktop to my server came back at 2.3+gbps! And my UniFI main hub states that it has a 10gbps connection to to the first switch. Everything worked right out of the box. No idea how long it will all last, but so far I'm impressed.

Using this with a SFP+ ONT stick. Was initially looking for a 10G media converter, but the cheapest ones were around $100 and the stick runs hot, so heating was a concern with a small form factor media converter. Went with this switch instead, half the price of a media converter, so can't go wrong. Solid metal case, not too bulky, about double the size of a media converter, heat dissipation is better and gets the job done. Totally satisfied so far, let's see how this holds up.
