I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of this buffet sideboard. It took a long time to assemble but instructions were easy to follow. There are a lot of pieces. The whole box weights 100 lbs so I'm sure FedX was NOT happy. I needed help bringing it inside. However, once assembled it look great. The doors are soft close. It's very sturdy and not flimsy. Nice buffet. Took my son and I an hour or two to assemble it. It’s like ikea furniture, so lots of screws, and pay close attention to the drawings. Pros: relatively straightforward assembly. Good directions. Draws slide smoothly. Doors have soft close hinges. Charcoal grey sides and black top look nice. Cons: A bit challenging to get the doors to line up straight. VERY heavy. Make sure you get sliders to put under the feet. The top in the pictures looks more marble than in real life. Up close the top is textured and obviously fiberboard. For the price, it’s a good buy. Looks nice “over there” but won’t sustain up close. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful piece. Great quality! Perfect to storage all my dvd collection and books. Sturdier and a bit heavy to carry to a room specially if it’s two female. It does take a long time to assemble it took us more than 2 hours. You need a lot of patience specially the two doors in the middle to match evenly. Absolutely love this piece. Considering the price, it far surpassed my expectations. The first thing to know- this piece is HEAVY. To the point I had to check after bringing the box indoors if it was actually solid wood. If you live alone it may be difficult to get indoors and laid down without damaging. A couple of things to note: 1. The back of this piece isn’t suitable for display. If you’re using it in a way that the back is exposed, just know it’s a thin piece of beige cardboard. There are also black clips that hold the back panel in place, which don’t look cute. 2. Assembly took two of us, who put together A LOT of furniture, about 4 hours nonstop. So don’t try to throw it together 2 hrs before guests arrive lol 3. The doors and drawers are not right up against each other, so there will be small gaps. You can minimize this by adjusting the hinges. This will probably take a while. Don’t give up, it can be done! Just takes patience 4. Speaking of hinges, make sure you don’t toss the instruction sticker that comes on one of the hinges! It tells you in what way to adjust them based on how you want the door to respond (higher, lower, left, right). 5. Save your wrists, use a drill. We started with screwdrivers and gave that up after 30mins. Just go slow and easy with the drill so you don’t strip a screw or split the furniture. 6. And lastly, don’t over tighten the round metal locking things that go in the recessed circles (you’ll know when you see them). They will snap. Then you’ll have to dig out the broken piece. But if it does happen to you like it did me, there are extras provided! ... show more
