The seals they give you at poor and it leaks

Reasonable kit - decent value but nothing to write home about. The buckets are a softer plastic than say the little giant buckets - but for honey they still work fine. I have been keeping bees for well over 10 years. I break the value down about like this: Bucket/gate: ~$30 Uncapping shelf: ~$15 Metal screen: ~$20 Right there you're at $65 and you get a few extra tools like an uncapping knife, uncapping fork, frame removal tool, bucket lid tool, filter bags (I have never used but handy to have), and 50 pairs of mystery material gloves. My money is on latex so I would never use them extracting honey in case someone had an allergy - but I will find a use for them other places on the farm that will not risk allergens in a food. So all in all - everything is adequate and it's a nice value pack if it's full of things you need (many of the extra tools I have piles of extras because they get packaged in everything now) but if you're starting out the extras are nice.

This is a great honey extracting kit for a new beekeeper who needs the basic tools. The honey bucket and lid are made of polypropylene (PP#5), which is considered food safe. The bucket holds 20 liters or about 5 gallons. The included honey gate fits perfectly in the pre-drilled bucket. The edge around the opening is smooth and does not need additional sanding or polishing. There is a two piece stainless steel strainer kit included in the package and also 4 nylon straining bags. I use the double strainer when draining the extractor. I sometimes use the nylon bags when straining honey for shows. The bucket kit comes with a serrated uncapping knife and a plastic board that holds the honey frame over a bucket when uncapping. The knife is serrated only on one side. The plastic board has one groove on the bottom side and fits most 5 gallon buckets. An uncapping fork is also included, which is useful for reaching low spots on the honey frames. Further, the package contains a bag of latex gloves, a frame grip and an opener for bucket lids. The honey extracting kit is a good value and the quality is good.
