Not for side pole batteries. Bought this for my late mother's Lumina but the battery posts are on the side. If my application was for top post batteries, I would have kept the charger. Nice unit.

Bought this on Black Friday deals and was the best purchase at the price got it for $80 it work as advertised would recommend but price went back to 150 ..still would pay that price small and powerful

We bought this to use with both a 2020 Ram 2500 and a 1984 Ford F250, both with turbo diesels. Once full charge, this pack had the capacity to jump our old school farm truck, therefore I feel confident that it would also jump our Ram. The unit is surprisingly light weight but is a bit larger than our other jump packs, therefore taking up more space in your trunk or backseat. While this unit works well, I took off one star because they claim the max tire pressure up to 150psi but this claim is a bit misleading. As you can see from the attached photo, "technically" this will provide pressure as high as 145psi, but that is ONLY if you set the device to bicycle mode. When it was in car mode, the highest we could force the unit to go was 51psi. While this will work fine for most "normal" tires, it isn't a high enough max pressure for extra larger vehicle tires. Since this unit is specifically made to jump a diesel, there is more likelihood of that diesel being a larger, working class vehicle - therefore with larger tires that need a higher capacity. This unit is ruggedized plastic and I like that it includes an LED indicator if you connect the cables incorrectly. That gives a bit of piece of mind for either new users or when we just might not be paying enough attention. It supposedly also allows you to override the polarity so that you can jump a fully dead battery, which many cannot. We did not have a completely dead battery to test this. Overall, it's a decent jump pack with all of the features that most have these days: USB-C output; USB 2.4a output; emergency flash light setting; air pump; cables; and carrying case. It also claims that it will function in extreme cold and heat conditions (which I cannot currently test). It is a bit higher priced than many but many of those cheaper models do not have the capacity to jump a diesel.

Hello there, nice to meet you! ;o) This jump starter truly saved a road trip we were on recently, when the battery picked that time to quit on us. We had this brand new BlackSpike jump starter in our emergency kit, and was able to jump start our van and we continued our trip. From now on, we will never leave home without this jump starter-- it gave us a peace of mind when we needed it most! That said, this jump starter is well made, and has enough juice to jump start larger vehicles, a good thing! Its built very rugged and solid too. This is the first time I've seen larger sized jumper cables with a portable jump starter-- and I now realize this is the way to go! Also, there's other nice features like a 3 mode lamp to light up our engine at night, as well as for camping, and it's great as a power bank in a pinch at our campsite. I also love the waterproof covers for the ports so you can safely use this device in inclement weather. Lastly, the jump starter arrives at your door in a foam surrounded environment within a nice box, with the cables placed in the top portion of this box. I must point out, this particular jumper cable 'kit' does have a dedicated connecting cable to the battery-- it will be wise not to misplace this connector. But this connector module does have features-- namely, a screen that indicates the level of power you are transferring to the jumper cable themselves, which is incredibly helpful in getting things started, pun intended! ;o) Give this BlackSpike® UT1200 Portable Jump Starter, 12,000mAh 12V Power Bank with 3000A Peak Current & 3-Mode Light a try...
