Hello, I just got this. And I was on the fence. I bought a previous device in order to record Lps. Many Lps never made it to Cd. And it bothers me to be unable to listen to what I want to listen to. When you own something you can listen to it when you want, instead of risking it being taken of what music service you subscribed to just to hear the song or songs. Amending this review, another nice thing is that the manufacturer, included red and white cables so you can hook it up to other speakers. I did find the speakers to be really good, loud and rich. And there is also a cable included to hook up an MP3 or what ever you want to the system. I found this to be a nice system and had I not ran into an issue with needing to record an album, I would have found this to be the nicest system It doesn't have a digital display but the speakers really are wonderful. Anyway this has a very warm tone to it. The CD player is nice. Even with my Ska Cd's of older recordings, the sound quality was still good. It also made my classical Cds sound well. I haven't any cassettes to try. Or Recording yet, but this is a very nice device. I wasn't sure if I would like the looks of it because , as an eightie's girl, I liked stereo's with equalizers and shiny lights, like the ones from Tweeter. The veneer is nice, but the buttons are hard to see. This unit doesn't come with a remote. Some people won't like it. Frankly I am always losing them. and I hate machines that don't work with out the remote. You may want to have this in a well lit area. The button set up is different. There are three buttons on each side, same shiny veneer as the unit. One side has the USB/SD Button probably like other equipment, used to show where the recording output be it LP, CD, or Cassette will be recorded to. The Recording button is underneath for recording to the SD or USB card. Then there is a Repeat, Program button for the Cd to manage the order of music, whether it should be repeated or how to listen to it in other ways. The Opposite side has three buttons, the top pausing and playing the Cd. Ironically, there is no stop button. The two beneath are for forward and reversing the tracks. The machine has a cable to connect this to another device like MP3 Player or computer so the sound outputs through the stereo. There is also a bluetooth feature, just switch from FM to bluetooth, under the dial. You also have to move the dial to the radio function. And if that was switched to Bluetooth, then the red letters on the dial will blink and you know you can pair the device. Unfortunately, it only pairs to one device at a time unlike some speakers which do two, so you may need to unpair it from one device to switch to another device. The volume it good. If there are issues with the sound, you may need to tinker with the device. For example with my switch I had to deactivate the volume control for headphones and the over all unit. Just as an aside, when recording, some systems seem to only accept a 32 gig sd card or 32 USB gig card. I don't know why, but I suspect if there are recording issues. it is because the card is 64 or above. Anyway, I will update this when I am able to successfully record or not, my LPs. The radio is ok. I live in the boonies with Hills so I get lousy reception anyway. I miss Boston. Anyhow, this is a very nice machine. It makes my music sound good, no matter what it is.     • HAPPILY LISTENING TO IT RIGHT NOW!
I have had an all in one for years. Lately it has been showing its age so I decided to replace it. This unit is so impressive. The sound I am getting is amazing for what this is. I have it in my office and an using the record player and the CD player and happily listening to music all day long. I have all my LPs from ages ago and now I have something to play them on and enjoy them. I would absolutely recommend this unit. DISCLAIMER: I have had it about a week. Speakers are not strong but comes with a cable to add additional speakers which was easily done. Antenna wire is long and I get a lot of stations. Record player great. Instructions are clear. Well worth the cost of the piece

It has different options to listen to music, versatile! He is suffering from dementia and music is comforting to him. We have saved record albums from 50 years ago that he can listen to as well as C D's and cassettes.

Able to record records & cassettes to thumb drive. 3rd stereo I've ordered. Returned 2, that said they recorded to USB, but didn't. Pleased this time. No remote and radio picks up zero stations, but still pleased. Bought it for my vinyl collection and to put them on USB. CD is nice, good sound. Plays USB media well. Record arm kinda light, used double sticky foam tape to attach a quarter to arm and it does fine. Satisfied at last. ... show more

    • READ MANUAL CAREFULLY
I purchased this unit so I could specifically record my records, cassettes and some CDs. I focused on recording from vinyl first and then a CD. I then transferred USB to computer to listen to mp3 file. There was no audio file on the drive, so I tried multiple times, thinking I may not have executed the instructions properly. in the back of the manual under specs it states the USB / SD card MAX capacity as 32 GB. I was using a 64 GB stick. I feel like this information should have been a major bit of information right up front to make buyer aware of requirement. So, once I acquire a smaller size drive I will attempt again to record and determine how well the audio playback is. I may update my rating after successful recording. ... show more
