Charged one battery and LED display stopped working. 1st one lasted for two battery charges. Other than not being able to tell if your battery is charged or not it's a small light charger.

I got this mainly for its 24V capability. It's nice to have for charging and maintaining a 24V battery in my excavator, and it's been working well for the past several months. I've used it on 12V batteries also just to test it out, and it worked well there also. Glad I got it. Seems to be one of the better ones out there.

Luckily my husband knew how to use this because the instructions were a little confusing for me! This has come in handy for both the motorcycle and the lawn mower! It's also a really great deal for something that honestly everyone should have just in case!

This charger works well, but it's not super clear from the instructions what to expect it to do other than be almost completely automatic. When you first plug the charger into the wall without attaching the battery, the display will read OFF, and the single button on the charger will select between the CAR - AGM - MOTO - REPAIR lights. The CAR and AGM modes both charge the battery to the appropriate voltage (AGM is a bit higher.) MOTO, likely less aggressive charging for smaller motorcycle batteries. The device's fourth mode: REPAIR, instead of charging, initiates a 16-hour repair cycle that is said to be able to recover some underperforming batteries. The REPAIR cycle ends with the display showing "End" After selecting one of the CAR/AGM/MOTO modes, connect the charger to your battery. The charger will assess the charge, showing it on the 25-50-75-100% battery display, and proceed to the appropriate stage. The 12V or 24V light will turn on, and depending upon the outside temperature, Win or Sum will light, indicating winter or summer. If it starts charging the battery, the display will alternate through temperature (ex. 34C), current (ex 7.9A), and voltage (ex 14.6V). Alternatively, if the battery is too low to charge the display will show LOU ("low") or any other error ("Ero"). Eventually, if the charge is complete, it should indicate full with FUL on the display, or go into desulfation mode, indicated by dES on the display. The manual states that the charger can be left connected to the battery at all times for maintenance charging. This is a good charger to have around the garage just-in-case, or a maintenance charger for a rarely-driven car as well!
