This is not my first Android stereo, but it is my first this size and from this company. If you are familiar with stereo installation, this should be fairly straight forward until you get to mounting the unit inside the cage. The cage will be installed first, then the unit will be secured to the cage due to the screen size. There are four screws securing the unit to the cage and it can be slightly awkward to access depending on your dash contour. Once screwed to the cage, the screen was very rigid and remained as such despite being installed in a Wrangler (less than a smooth ride). Operationally, it functions as other Android stereos do. I have my Pixel 8 phone connected with a USB cable due to inconsistent wireless connectivity. I have had that issue with other Android stereos and I DO NOT believe this is an issue specific to this stereo. My wife's iPhone has ZERO issues with wireless connectivity. The sound quality is better than that of my previous PNY 7" Android stereo. I could not find the specifications on the RCA voltage output (I use a 5ch amplifier), but it sounds as if this unit has slightly higher voltage output. The screen itself is bright and easily viewed at sharp angles. The large volume knob is a HUGE benefit compared to most aftermarket stereos that have volume up and down buttons. A single press mutes the audio and the knob is very responsive when turning. It does not have all the "bells and whistles" of more expensive name brand stereos (time alignment, multi-channel crossover, etc.), but I did not expect it. The 10 band EQ is easily accessed and allows for finer tuning than stereos with just treble, mid, and bass adjustments. For the price, this stereo is more than adequate for most people. There was an information card inside the box with a QR code that links to Kissound's Facebook page. If you would like to update firmware or have custom background or boot logos, you can message them with your order number and serial number of the stereo. They were incredibly quick to respond and email a file to update the unit. The process was very simple and they even included a link to a short YouTube video explaining the process. If you would like to upgrade your current stereo to a larger screen with great sound, give this one a try. Their customer service is top notch and, frankly, surprising based on past experiences with other companies.

Overall, I'm very happy with this head unit, I installed it in my 2008 Tundra with the JBL system and I have way more control with this than the stock unit. It doesn't look awkward on the dash. The display is crisp, clear, responsive, and it doesn't wash out in the light. Navigating all controls is easy, and I LOVE that it has a volume knob! Also super convenient that pressing the knob mutes the stereo. More often than not, I use the wireless Android Auto and have experienced zero issues with it. It connects quickly upon startup and is playing music before I'm out of the driveway. Installation was fairly straightforward, but there is a ton of room for frustration. I used a Metra dash kit (double-din), and in theory there are MANY ways to mount the unit as most are fairly standardized. However, this one is fairly shallow on the back side but includes a metal sleeve that allows you to expand the number of mounting options. This sleeve is larger than a standard double-din kit though, which means that it was useless in my application. I was able to work around this by removing the sleeve from the head unit and using a pair of included brackets. The reason this was necessary for my application is because of the beloved volume knob; the panel below the stereo must come out before removing the head unit, so I needed to pull it forward for clearance purposes. Wiring-wise, it was really easy after I found a harness compatible with the JBL system. It will also be very easy to add aftermarket components later as the wiring has many flexible options. Everything is labeled, all plugs are their own size, and there is no mistaking where things need to go. The issues I see are quite limited. 1. The microphone and camera are flimsy and feel cheap. The cord for the microphone is *just* long enough to be routed behind the dash to mount on the near side of the steering wheel (not my ideal location) and the wiring for the camera is likewise short for a full size truck. The wires are also thin to the point that I may upgrade those individual pieces down the road. 2. I was hoping for a bit more low-end control out of this unit, but the bass is lacking in comparison to stock. I was planning on installing an aftermarket sub anyway, so this isn't a hill I'll die on. 3. I had a difficult time getting all of the steering wheel controls to work correctly. The instructions are on the screen within the options menu to program buttons, an I had initial success with Vol+ and Vol-, then moved on to skip+. Somehow, all steering wheel buttons then only skipped. Eventually, I got those three buttons to work the way they're supposed to and promptly admitted defeat. Truly though, I feel that the value at this price is phenomenal. I've owned many different brands and this is a great choice among them.

This is a great upgrade to my late model truck, look at the photo to see how much larger it is than a standard double din touch screen, every time you look at this larger screen you will be happy that you picked one of these units up. It was a quick install and much easier than I expected. Most stereo touch screens force you to use tiny touch buttons for volume and mute, which are a pain to find while driving. Having a extra large physical volume knob on a screen this size is a total game-changer for safety and convenience. The knob feels solid and is much more intuitive than tapping a "+" or "-" icon along a screen bezel, and when you press it down it mutes the audio. It is worth it for that alone. The screen is bright during the day and has a touch option to dim at night and to turn off completely that I like. The software interface is fast and modern styled and the icons are an excellent size that makes setting changes quick to find. You notice it immediately when you don't have to switch your attention to search for next track or connect to car play. Speaking of car play once you set it up it connects fast, automatically and wirelessly. It is nice to not have to worry about having to plug in your phone or having to fuss with the connection. It has been a couple weeks and I have had no auto-connect problems. Make sure to go in to your phone car play settings and set the Home button as the first icon so you can return to the stereo home page quickly from car play if you want to get to the Radio or Settings. I have a photo you can see in where I did this. Just like modern phones physical buttons just slow you down and that is where this unit shines with its responsive software and no unnecessary physical buttons. If you want the modern look of a huge display but still want the "old school" reliability of physical controls, this is the one to get. It’s the most user-friendly upgrade I’ve added to my truck and just takes away all the unnecessary frustrations and buttons that smaller screens have. Measure your space and pick one up you will not be disappointed.

Bought this for my RV. I needed something with CarPlay. Works great. Sounds good, and it was a great value. The instructions are pretty easy to follow for self-installation. I haven't figured out how to add my own background wallpaper yet. There are plenty of RCA outputs for future amps, but since it's in my RV, I doubt I'll install any.

I am a professional car audio installer/technician, and If I could give this SIX STARS, I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I installed this in a 2010 Toyota Prius which originally had the JBL/NAV/CD CHANGER. The 10.1” QLED SCREEN is amazing. It is bright, responsive, and has plenty of customization settings. You can make it blindingly bright, or completely dimmed. The LED LIGHT BAR at the top is the perfect customization, and has a dozen or more different settings, including sound-responsive operation. The SOUND in this radio is unbeatable for the price point. The built-in DSP and 10-BAND EQ is top quality. It made an already amazing system sound even more crisp, clear and loud. It is easily on par with the best Sony or Kenwood head unit. The VOLUME KNOB is a must have for any true lover of tactile functionality. The EASE OF INSTALLATION was the real surprise. It uses the standard 16-pin power harness found in most aftermarket stereos, so you won’t run into any surprises there. There are TWO CAMERA INPUTS that only require RCA in for video, and 12V power with ground. They snap right to the image the moment I shift into reverse, or trigger the secondary cam to play. It has the ability to map the STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS any way you want them, by assigning functions to every button. It has flawless WIRELESS APPLE CARPLAY and ANDROID AUTO. They both work perfectly, exactly as they should. The SCREEN MIRRORING is simple and intuitive. You just scan the on-screen QR CODE, and make the connection. That’s it! Movies and TV Shows look AMAZING on the 10.1” QLED SCREEN. There are TWO USB INPUTS, with long cable runs, so that you can route them anywhere you’d like to. The AM/FM RADIO function is great. It has LOCAL/DX options, and works perfectly. The included MICROPHONE is long and good quality, although the screen itself has a built-in mic as well. There is another USB-C INPUT at the bottom of the screen itself for quick charging. In all, I could find NOTHING about this radio that I didn’t like. It can easily outperform other units in competition with the KISSOUND KS10001, such as the Jensen CAR1013. I have had NO issues with connection loss or random restarts. It has performed flawlessly since the moment I installed it. The best part about it is the SUPPORT. They have stayed in touch with me every single day since I reached out over FACEBOOK MESSENGER and EMAIL. (They are based in China, so keep that in mind with regards to time differences.) They even sent me two extra cameras when I thought I was having an issue, but it turned out that I had tapped into the wrong wiring, because of the way the Prius wiring is heavily integrated. They check in with me regularly to make sure everything works exactly as intended. I have never had a better experience with SUPPORT than I have with KISSOUND. Rest assured, if you have an issue, they will do everything possible to make it right. I will update this review every 6 months to show the longevity of the product over time. I genuinely can’t believe this radio doesn’t cost WAY more.

Honestly really impressed with this stereo. Screen looks great. Runs super smooth. Wireless Apple CarPlay works seamlessly. I’m sure the audio quality isn’t perfect but I put it in a 24 year old diesel truck with original speakers and it sounds better than the old Pioneer 4100NEX that was in it before. I didn’t install the back up camera or have to mess with the steering wheel controls as the truck doesn’t have any. I did reach out to Kissound customer service with a few questions and they were great. Answered all my questions promptly. For a sub $200 stereo with a large, bright and crisp screen and decent audio this is a no brainer. I will be getting another one for my old Yukon too.

This is a great unit, if you only really want the basics, because a lot of the advertised features don't work. For example, after 5 days of very frustratingly corresponding with Kiss Sounds tech support, I was finally able to ad a custom image to the boot up screen. (neat?) I still can't add custom wallpapers...but I give up. My steering wheel controls still don't work, even thought its advertised they will. I had it professionally installed, and the installers say it won't work. Tech support says it will...if I buy extra parts...they won't tell me which...but I give up. Now, the good news is this this is beautiful, sounds great, gorgeous screen, great EQ, etc. So if you can live without those other things (steering wheel control, custom wallpaper, etc.) and just want the stereo, this ones a lot of fun for very little money. Three stars only because it's been frustrating learning these things...if I had known these things in advance, I might have given it 5 stars.

I recently installed this 10.1” QLED Double-DIN Car Stereo in my 2009 Toyota Corolla, and it has completely transformed my daily driving experience. The large, vibrant display made my old Corolla feel like a brand-new modern car. The screen is stunning — bright, sharp, and easy to read even in direct sunlight. Colors pop beautifully, especially when using navigation or playing videos. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. I simply get in the car and everything connects automatically — no more fumbling with cables. Apple Maps, Spotify, Waze, and calls all integrate seamlessly. Bluetooth audio is clear and strong, and the Music Sync Luminous Bar adds a really cool ambient lighting effect that dances with the beat.
