We bought this last year and I'd only used it a few times until this summer. We now use it several times a week. Pros: * The coffee comes out great - no grinds. It's easy to dump the filter, too. * Cost-savings compared to coffee shops. * Easy to use - 2 c ground coffee and 16 c water, steep overnight, remove filter and you have coffee. * Flavor is great - but remember you control the type of coffee you use (and the grind). Cons: * It's ok to clean. We use a bottle brush. If it gets overly stained, just a bit of baking soda and scrub. Not for the dishwasher. * I worry it will break in the fridge. It's large and takes up a lot of room. * You need to plan ahead. This takes 12 hours to steep, minimum (longer for stronger). Overall: If you're running to the cafe too often or buying too many plastic bottles of cold brew at the market, this will save you time, money and help you impact your environmental footprint. ... show more

this is a great cold brew maker and by far the best I’ve bought from Amazon over the years. I feel like my search to save money making cold brew at home is finally over. 1) this does not make weak coffee 2) needs only 8-10ish hours to work if you forget the night before 3) filtered spout prevents you drinking grinds. We drink a lot of iced tea. I bought this to replace a pitcher half its capacity so I don't have to brew it as often. The built-in filter is extremely convenient. The mesh on it is fine enough that no loose tea leaves escape and the entire filter is removable for easy cleaning (made even easier with the included brush) and so you don't steep your tea for too long. I'm also happy that the tap seems very well made. I haven't had so much as a single drop leak, which was a concern for me when I was deciding on which pitcher to buy. I love this cold brew coffee maker. The design is great, although I have never successfully screwed the lid on the thing. Besides that the only true problem is the spigot. My first one, first batch of coffee ended up with almost all of the coffee leaking out of the spigot into my fridge while I was at work. I called and their customer service is amazing. They immediately sent a new one. The new one worked great for a few uses, but now without fail, within 1-3 uses everytime I make a new container of coffee it will start leaking all the coffee into my fridge from the spigot. The spigot looks high quality. I clean it really well every time, making sure to run water through the spigot incase some gunk got caught in it. I give up and am going to try to order a different spigot. I would call, but I don't trust that a third replacement won't do the same thing. ... show more

The coffee comes out pretty strong which is kinda perfect because you use less of it, just add a water until it’s your preferred strength, and make your coffee.
