I’ve only hooked it up to use once as a test to confirm it will work for my application. Was very impressed on initial use. Due to an issue with the hose I connected it to, nothing to do with the pump, I didn’t run it long so can’t speak much to long term use yet and will try to update this review when I can. Note that the float switch is on a fairly long arm which needs at least 8-12” or so of clearance to move up and down in an arc. So this isn’t suitable for use in a cramped space. I bought this for my fish pond/waterfall. It worked fine for almost two months. Then it just stopped. I followed the trouble shooting guide with no success. It is just a couple weeks past the 30 day return window. I have not been able to get any help or support from Amazon or the seller. I do not recommend. It was fine when it worked. But the product life should be measured in years not months. ... show more

It took 2 hours to drain 1’ of my 18x36 inground pool. I connected a 1 1/2” backwash hose to it with the provided clamp. It was so quiet I was shocked. It pumped fast. Great pump for draining your pool.

Have used numerous times and works so well and is such a well made item. All stainless. Tons of power. Replaced a smaller one and there is a huge difference in performance. Highly recommended.

I have been using for septic tank to remove water from ground and have had no problems with it for a year till I needed to replace it again but keep I. Mind I did have it running the entire time and never had a problem with it
