abunda_amazon_reviews TV was delivered yesterday & today it has started having major defective screen issues (see video)! *I will update this review once I've gotten a resolution from Amazon/Best Buy*;;Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2020;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Buyer Beware;;Michael Rottman;;;Missing some obvious bells and whistles (High Refresh Rate, Screencast, etc..). But this TV is an absolute steal for the price. I was a little concerned about the Amazon software operating slow, like some of their older Firesticks and Cubes, but the menu is very responsive with zero lag. The built-in Fire OS just makes things so much simpler. Side-loading apps is just as easy as it is with any of their other devices. You really can't go wrong with Insignia. I've owned several Insignia monitors and TVs and they really are an incredible brand for the low prices they sell for. My last set is over 10 years old and still going strong. Keep in mind, a lot of the complaints over these devices have much more to do with insanely-high expectations. If you want anything over 60hz refresh for gaming, expect to spend at LEAST $1000-$1500 for the same size. But trust me, I doubt your eyes will even notice or care. And your wallet will thank you.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great Budget TV;;Porta-Jon;;;UPDATE: Had this thing for a few weeks now. Many apps come preinstalled (Hulu, Netflix, etc...) but had to install Disney myself. Yesterday downloaded and installed my 2nd app, youtube, and TV became sluggish and gave me "put of storage" message! Almost uninstalled Disney since I've canceled that sub but that would have only been a temp solution. Popped a spare usb thumb drive in the slot, let the tv format it, good to go. Still 4/5 stars because this is what you get with a budget TV, but I am surprised that out of the box it can't handle TWO extra apps! Oh well. Original review below... THE BAD: I knew to expect it going in, but Amazon's not-so-gentle promotion of their own agenda is very much baked into this product - but that's why it's so cheap. "Home" is basically an advertisement screen for Amazon, thinly veiled as entertainment options. Glaring is the omission of "chromecast" as an input label (where EVERYTHING else is available - Roku, Apple TV, etc etc etc) and there is no option to name your own input. Obviously many, many chromecast users will have to leave their input as "HDMI1", and while a pretty small thing overall it serves to highlight Amazon's priorities where customers are anything but first. They even make the setting that allows chromecast to automatically switch to its input OFF by default, but at least it's available to turn on. (To be fair, I did choose the "full experience" in setup which required me to sign-in with my Amazon account - I assume if I had chosen the other option some of this intrusiveness might be minimized). THE GOOD: These deliberate decisions aside, I was happy to find the interface snappy for hulu, disney and netflix. The remote and menus are well thought out and intuitive. Very satisfied with the picture quality too - this is my first 4K TV and I noticed things in Rango that I had never seen before! Similar to listening to a song you know on great speakers and suddenly hearing background harmonies you never before noticed. Overall build quality seems great too - even though it's light it doesn't feel cheap. My 50" mounted great to the Pipishell "TV Wall Mount Bracket Full Motion Dual Swivel Articulating Arms Extension Tilt Rotation, Fits Most 26-55 Inch" mount, which allows for an impressive amount of movement, but that's a different review. Would buy again.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2020;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;The reason it's inexpensive. This is an awesome smart TV! It works perfectly and has high resolution and 4k. Love the apps, and movies, ect. It's crystal clear, good screen and functions well. I had no problem connecting to WiFi. It was a breeze. Very modern, sturdy, well made TV. I like it better than Visio. I highly recommend! Btw, the packaging was very secure. It arrived in immaculate condition and I am very pleased with this purchase.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Shocked at this amazing deal!!!;;Victoria Laguna;;;Great tv for a great price. The picture quality and viewing angle are worse than a similarly priced Roku TV that I bought last year, but they aren't horrible. The sound quality is rather crappy, which is not a problem for me because I disabled the TV speakers and am using a surround sound system instead - but even a cheap sound bar would be better. Overall, it really comes down to being satisfied that I got a good deal, and I still feel that I did despite what I've stated. In my opinion, it's a good "budget" or "value" TV. I'm not very impressed, but also not disappointed. If you can afford better, then go for it - otherwise, this is fine.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2020;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Not impressed, but not disappointed;;B;;;Was looking around at other TVs for a while then ran across this one while was on sale. It's a lot better than I was expecting for the size and features. Takes a little effort to learn the menu and trying to figure out why you can't go to input settings without backing out to the main menu then go back in... Other than that it works fine with pretty much everything I've tested and shows up correct as an HDR monitor when using with a computer at 4K 60hz and Gsync compatible.;;Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2020;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great for the price;;Keith;;;Very easy to set up the TV/Fire/apps. Would buy again.

Shocked at this amazing deal!!!
I was nervous about buying a TV online because of bad reviews. I took a risk and tried this one. I am shocked at how cheap this 50inch was! It arrived in immaculate condition and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Not impressed, but not disappointed
Decent TV -for the price-. If you can afford better, then go for it - otherwise, this is fine.

Great for the price
Was looking around at other TVs for a while then ran across this one while was on sale. It's a lot better than I was expecting for the size and features. Takes a little effort to learn the menu and trying to figure out why you can't go to input settings without backing out to the main menu then go back in... Other than that it works fine with pretty much everything I've tested and shows up correct as an HDR monitor when using with a computer at 4K 60hz and Gsync compatible.

Easy to set up!
Very easy to set up the TV/Fire/apps. Also great that the screws needed to attach the tv to the wall mounting bracket were already in the back of the tv so we didn't have to go searching for the right size screw to attach the mounting bracket from our other tv.
