Description

FOUR STAR is the top-selling knife series of ZWILLING J.A. Henckels worldwide. Honed and hand-finished by the most skilled artisans, this celebrated collection is the model of safety, ergonomics, and comfort. Thanks to their seamless transition from bolster to handle, the knives are comfortable to use for long periods of time. The bolster provides the right balance while acting as a safe finger guard. The knives are made of proprietary special formula steel that has been perfected for over 280 years. Combined with ZWILLING's signature ice-hardening technique, these FRIODUR blades are harder, sharper, they will NOT STAIN or chip and they retain their sharpness longer. Precision- forged from a single piece of steel, the SIGMAFORGE knives have an exceptionally sturdy, balanced and flexible blade.

Great Value for this Henckels Knife Set
These ARE the best. I had an unfinished block for many years. Saw these on sale and BAM! I have had my Henckels since 1994 and they are still as good as new. They stay sharp and cut with such ease.

cheap feeling handle but sharp knife
These knives are pretty sharp compared to what you'll find in most people's kitchens, but the handles seem cheap and i'm questioning if they're starting to dull substantially after less than a year. In the future I will stick to a handle with a full tang to improve the feel and balance.

Great set of knives
Great knife set and the paring knife I received cuts through like butter unlike a previous comment. At $100 where I bought it this is a great set that with a santoku from Zwilling, really can let you accomplish anything you need in the kitchen and seems like it will last for years to come.

Disappointed
I received a Henckel 4" paring knife for a wedding present over twenty-five years ago. In spite of the tip having broken off, the knife still cuts today like it did the first time I used it. I was excited to finally have the opportunity to purchase this three piece set. I did my homework, making sure to purchase the forged knives made in Germany and not one of the less expensive stamped or International sets. So imagine my disappointment when the 4" paring knife in my new set barely sliced through an apple. The set appears to be the Four Star set I ordered but they knives are very dull. Again very disappointing. ... show more

Love these knives
Love these knives. I got them as a gift for a friend after having had a set of Four Star 2 myself. Great quality. If you take care of them and use them correctly they will stay very sharp for years to come.
