The 1.5-inch Bunkie Board , Split Bunkie Board provides a surface foundation for any platform beds, bunks and daybeds. It adds support to the mattress and will keep mattress stay in good shape thus extending the life of your mattress. It will give a firm bottom support for the mattress and raises the mattress up for about 1.5 inches. My mattress was sinking like the Titanic. I'm not a skinny lady but JEESH talk about a nightly battle of the positions. Roll to far one way and get jabbed in the back with some metal bar in the middle of the bed. Roll the other way and the blankets took on a life of their own. And GOD FORBID you actually want to SIT on the bed... You're taking your life into your hands. Possibly sinking into the abyss never to be seen again.. then... (Cue angelic music and lights) IT ARRIVED!!! NO MORE does the bed take on a life of it's own. It has been TAMED not unlike the unicorn finding the maiden in the forest. Perfect. Easy installation -- we like that it was in 2 pieces (each) managing the installation, shipping, etc. Well packed. Clean. perfectly fit the bed frame and supports the mattress so that when I make the bed the sheets don't hang down between the metal rungs of the bed frame.     • NOT A SOLID SURFACE
Incredibly disappointing. These are not a solid surface like every bunkie board I’ve used in the past…just a couple 2x4s making a cross… not even as good as regular bed slats! And incredibly difficult to return if you didn’t keep the original boxes it was mailed in. NOT worth the time or money.
