My husband installed. We used the instructions that came with it, took about 35 mins. Our door is super old so we had to make adjustments to make sure the lock clicked in. Very easy to set up passcodes and thumbprint. Only issue is the auto lock timer does NOT work. Tried multiple times but only the auto lock works (5-6 seconds). Don’t love that but wish auto timed lock worked! Great smart lock and matte black looks SO good and this way I don’t worry about losing keys. We purchased two of these locks. When we had an issue with one of the lock the seller was very responsive. When we explained the issue they determined a replacement was needed. This thing is worthless. Horribly difficult to program, the finger print lock doesn't work. Overall a piece of trash. Only used it a week and hate it. Don't buy it. I regret getting one and installing it after I could return it. GARBAGE.

The directions are horrible. A series of pictographs with almost no text. No exploded view to help you get your head around it. Installation was fairly simple once you eventually figure it out. Same with programming. They tell you the steps to program various features but no heading to tell you actually what each flowchart is for! Just a couple pages of flowcharts with nothing to tell you what the flowchart is for. You have to read each flowchart, one by one to eventually have a lightbulb go on in your head. Overall, the deadbolt feels flimsy. I could easily bust it off with a hammer. The manual locking handle is very lightweight plastic. Feels like it could snap off. A heavy metal cover and licking handle would be a big upgrade. It’s a flimsy Chinese piece on a $3000 entrance door. Doesn’t seem right. I’ll probably end up replacing it. ... show more
