I returned the one I thought was defective. Already received my replacement. I'm sorry to the company I bought this from because I gave them an unfair review. My review was based on one unit not being set up properly, which is why I thought I had one of those "defective" units. Somewhat embarrassed that I didn't fully understand the instructions. Had I continued to mess with it then it probably was a fully functional unit. Word to the wise: There HAVE been other complaints. But it could be people who made a similar mistake to mine. Some of our old analog q-see camera's are dying after 10 years of use, this camera is a great replacement to continuing to use the system. Its night vision is much better, overall quality is about the same, and the aspect ratio is a bit better, so more viewable area.
