I am getting a kick out of this and like it very much. I bought one for myself and 2 for mother's day gifts. it takes a bit of time and patience to use this but you're letting the chilled insert cup freeze the liquid, stirring the ice that forms on the inside of the cup into the liquid. this is kind of fun and relaxing, i thought. I used pre-made chocolate milk (Fairlife) and then tried orange-mango-banana juice in a carton and also coffee ( milk and a bit of Quik and sugar). all turned out yummy. its exactly 1 cup capacity and the flanged collar keeps things from slopping over. tips they also tell you in the enclosed booklet : freeze the inside cup standing upright. there is a gel inside that gets super cold and if you lay it on its side it won't surround your drink evenly. ...as the liquid freezes, you are to scrape and stir in every minute. thinner liquids will chill a bit faster. the enclosed spoon does the trick but the ice can be very smooth inside and can feel like its just the inside of the cup. be sure to press and break the ice. its very soft, like a Wendy's frosty is. you can keep it chunky or stir to make finer. takes a few minutes. everything nicely made, nicely weighted and did iced coffee taste good out on the back steps when it was hot out ! unique gift.

I bought a cheaper brand, but it didn’t last very long at all. This one will and it works great! I have another one of ZOKU’s products and love it as well. Worth the extra bucks!

I liked the cup at first. Easy to use, and the slushies were good. Not wanting to mess it up, I was careful handling it - hand-wash only, make sure it was fully dried before returning to the freezer - and yet less than 6 months later the bottom cracked while in the freezer and the liquid inside the cup leaked all over. I haven't gotten any response from Zoku when I emailed them. Not worth $20 a cup if it breaks so soon. ** EDIT UPDATE 12/7 ** After submitting a claim directly to ZOKU on their own website, they sent a replacement cup. Hopefully the new cup lasts longer*

In less than 10 minutes, the liquid juice turns into a smoothie. It tastes very good, but it can't be kept here for a long time. It has to be poured into another cup and eaten quickly, otherwise it will freeze hard

UPDATED REVIEW BELOW.... I had some old slush cups and thought a newer set might work better. Nope. These BARELY create a slush. Even when you follow all the directions. They sort of ice up - but - not nearly enough. Disappointing. I'm glad I held onto the old ones! PS - remember - you cannot use any drink that isn't sugared. Sugar free drinks will not work. We were using sugared soda pop. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. The Zoku cups are FUN! Now if only the company would stop shipping boxes is flimsy plastic bags! I have ordered these cups three times. One order arrived in a box & it was fine. Two orders arrived with the product boxes inside thin plastic shipping bags. Both times the product box was smashed! Once I returned it & received a prompt replacement. The 2nd time, I was keeping the cups & not a gift, so I didn't feel the need for a replacement. Do Better! Don't cheapen your good products with inadequate packaging to ship.

Works even better than promised. Even though it's advised not to use sugar free ingredients due to liquid possibly not turning into slush consistency, I experimented and used 1/4 regular cola to 3/4 diet cola and it worked great. Took maybe a minute longer to turn into slush, but worth it to save calories. Also used it to turn lemonade into a slushie. The core stays frozen for a long time so it's easy to make two slushies from one frozen cup cycle. The outside container keeps your hand from getting too cold and no dripping condensation--it forms a little fog but that's all. Very easy to clean and pop back in the freezer so it's always ready to use. The booklet lists a site to go to for different recipes--looking forward to trying something new!
