This greenhouse just withstood 55+mgh and hail stones a bit larger than golf balls last Saturday night here in northern TX! While our home's metal roof suffered some damage, our newly-constructed Bellrose XL panels held up without any cracks or breaks. Unbelievable! Our only problem has been with the window latches that we find hard to connect due to tight-fitting openings for the slide to go through. We are going to replace them. Shipping did not arrive as scheduled and a delivery truck suddenly appeared at 9:30pm one night and dropped off the 10 big and heavy boxes outside our garage (Amazon's delivery problem, not the manufacturer's). Customer service from Backyard Discovery is top notch!! They offer phone support or an online chat person who immediately sent me links for the direction manuals for the greenhouse as well as the fan it came with. Lots of extra screws and bolts. Extremely helpful directions, but it took our builder 2 full days to put it together. ... show more

My wife and I love everything about this greenhouse. It took a while to put together, but the instructions are clear and thorough, making the process easy enough. Most of the wood was in great condition, with a few boards coming to us extremely warped. That was really the only challenge with assembly. Now, why did I deduct one star? Delivery. I was given a delivery date, but they showed up several days early. I watched from the house as two guys struggled in the back of their truck. Then, one of them called me and asked, "Do you have a forklift?" Me: "A forklift? No, I don't have a forklift." A few minutes later, my doorbell rang and I went outside. He said, "I need you out here, Boss. It's heavy." I was in the middle of grilling hamburgers, but I went out to the street, barefoot and all. I suggested taking some boxes off of the pallet after one guy broke his dolly and fell backwards, trying to hoist the pallet onto the lift at the back of the truck. Finally, boxes were removed and it was lowered to the street. They struggled to move anything. So, I went and got my dolly and proceeded to move the boxes myself. I moved 8 out of 10 boxes by myself--no shoes on, in the Louisiana heat, while these two guys who do this for a living just complained the whole time about how heavy the boxes were. Keep in mind that I am 6'5" and used to compete in strongman. I don't know what they would do if they delivered to anyone else. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My husband and I are 70 and 68, respectively. We cleared the vehicles out of our garage to lay out all the pieces, and labeled them with painters tape and the piece/parts number. It took up the entire garage floor and walls. Since the boxes are not packed in order of construction, this was very helpful. Our garage smelled amazing with the cedar. It took us nine days total from unpacking to finished, except for running the electrical and water. Two of our sons came to help put the roof on. We were able to put the gables up, but I knew the rest of the roof was beyond my strength abilities. The instructions are meticulously written. It is very important to follow exactly where the pilot holes are. We had to take a few things apart and redo them. It is solidly made. The further along we got, my husband kept saying that we needed to give a good review. The only problem we had was the door latch didn’t work. I called and told them and they said we would have the replacement within a few days. We have already filled it up, waiting for freezing to pass before we put things in the ground. I don't know how anyone can say this is easy to put together! My husband and I have been trying all day and haven't even got the back wall done because the BILT app doesnt give enough information. Ridiculous that it doesnt come with a manual and video! I hate to give it a bad rating because its beautiful but I don't think we will be able to put it together. And some people say it took 2 days while others say 2 months! ... show more

Good engineering and quality. Took 5 days to assemble. Inside temp runs 20 degrees above ambient, whis is fine if ambient is below 65 degrees. The supplied exhaust fan is inadequate to move enough air to keep the temps below 95 degrees when outside temps are higher than 70 to 75 degrees. I will need to add additional ventilation to use during the summer. ... show more
